*NOAH'S POV*
I lugged myself in front of Millie's bedroom door hoping she would answer. It was 9 in the morning, and Millie was always awake at this time probably cleaning her room, or listening to music. But for some odd reason, outside of the door I could tell it was dead inside there, almost like she was barely breathing. I knocked once more, and then I gave up and turned the knob disregarding any form of privacy. But of course, it was locked. And that was when my worries and fears have risen, why wasn't she in her room. Where was she? I knocked on Keith's bedroom door and I heard a muffled groan, maybe he was still sleeping but I could careless. I started pounded on his wooden structure and then his messy hair peeked out of the door.
"Oh Noah." He started fixing his hair that was sticking up in all directions.
"I need to get into to Millie's bedroom, mind opening up your bathroom?" He didn't question my favor, and he nodded immediately, but once his grip touched the handle he shrugged.
"It's locked, I am sure she is just showering. Or something." He exclaimed as I pushed him aside and started frantically trying to open the door, "I have an idea. Um- you could unlock her door with a credit card." He grabbed a plastic card out of his drawer and he slipped into the crack of the door, making it magically open.
And there she was. Hugging her knees, and trembling with at least three bottles of different pills scattered around the floor. It seemed like she sat there all night, not one breath or move. My knees weakened and I dropped to the cold tiles, suddenly I was in front of her. I couldn't bare to look at her lifeless eyes. I couldn't bare thinking that I was the one who caused this.
"Oh, Mills." Soft sobs escaped my lips, I caressed her cheeks and I wrapped my arms around her, as if I already found her dead on the floor. But thank god she wasn't.
"Oh my god.." Keith followed me inside, and once he saw the scene he covered his mouth, like he was going to be sick, "Where are her parents?" Keith's voice broke.
"God damn it, they left on their way to work when they let me in." I said without breaking eye contact with her, "Call 911." He looked at me without an answer, like nothing was going into his head. "Call 911, Keith! Now!" He realised the words forming at my lips and he quickly left the room to get help. I figured I would go after him and maybe get some water for Millie but as my legs shot up, her hand formed a grip on my forearm, making me slowly crouch down to her level again.
"Don't leave me." Salty beads of water formed around her eyes and she frowned oh so gently, I looked into her hazel eyes and pulled her into my arms. We both cried ferociously, we didn't want to lose each other again.
Sirens whistled outside blissfully, usually they are annoying to me but the only things I wanted to hear was Millie's voice, and the sound of help. Paramedics rolled in a gurney as Millie was still sitting on the floor, I wasn't sure if she hurt herself but she needed help. Serious help.
"Miss. Miss? Can you please get on the gurney?" The paramedic tried to speak with her but she remained dull, her cheek squished onto my shoulder, her mouth was open and her eyes shot down to the floor.
"Um- maybe I could try." I stuttered, I stroked my thumb onto Millie's cheek and her gaze fell upon mine and then she slowly nodded, giving me permission to carry her. She wrapped her arms around me and I carried her bridal style onto the gurney, and not once did she let go of my hand, "Millie, I am right here. Your parents are coming, and so is, Finn." My mind irked when I said his name, I wasn't jealous of Finn but a little worried that she went through the extremity of something like this because of me and when he could've made her happy. Keith told me that last night, he came over but not an ounce did he stay with her for at least 15 minutes. He could've made her happy when I couldn't be there for her, and he failed to do so.
