Atty. Maine Mendoza. Wow! Finally, dream come true. Maine thought as she walks to her very own cubicle inside the Empire Building. Maine was so elated now that all her dreams are coming into reality. She knew she worked hard for it. She sat on her swivel chair and started to fix some of the things she brought to display on her office. She was busy fixing her table when she heard footsteps.
"Naks! Hindi halatang excited ha." Collette said as she walks in.
"Hahahaha.... Hindi lang excited. Feel na feel pa." Coleen quipped in a teasing voice.
"Hehehe... Bakit ba? Eh sa excited lang ako noh!" Maine responded.
"Hindi halata." Coleen again. Just then their mother, Mary Anne Mendoza walked in.
"Tigilan nio na nga yang katipid nio. Unang araw inaasar nio na." Mary Anne said.
"Top 2 pa yan sa Bar ha." Coleen interjected. "Siguro nandaya ka lang noh!" she continued to tease Maine.
"Excuse me! Ako, mandadaya?!? Sus, di ko na kailangang gawin yon. Alam naman nating lahat na sa ating magkakapatid, ako ang pinaka matalino noh!" Maine answered back and stick out her tongue to both her sisters.
"Ang yabang. Uu na, ikaw na ang top 2 sa bar." Coleen retorted teasingly.
"Nagsasabi lang po ako ng totoo." Maine said. "Diba Nay?"
All of the three ladies turned to look at their mother. "Uu nga naman. At proud na proud kame sau anak." Mary Anne added. Mary Anne then went beside Maine and hugged her.
"Tama na yan. Sige na, anak kaya lang kme pumunta dito kase meron kame ibibigay sau." Mary Anne said.
"Po? Ano po yon Nanay?"
Collette handed Maine a big gift. "Eto oh. Pawelcome namin sayo dito."
Oops! Ang larawang ito ay hindi sumusunod sa aming mga alituntunin sa nilalaman. Upang magpatuloy sa pag-publish, subukan itong alisin o mag-upload ng bago.
"Ha, mahal yan ha. Hati-hati kme dyan nila Kuya Nico. Pati si Dean siningil namin dyan." Coleen added.
Mary Anne was just looking at her daughter as she unwraps the gift. She was a bit puzzled because the box was just too big. Seems like her kids again connived to tease her youngest daughter.
Maine unwrapped the gift at once, she was all smiles. When she finally unwrapped it, she saw a box. When she opened the box, another gift was inside. This trend continued 4 times. Each time, the box becomes smaller and smaller until it was reduced to the size of a shoe box. She was already frowning while her sisters were trying to contain their laughter.

"Niloloko niyo lang ata ako eh. Wala naman ata tong laman eh." Maine said.
"Hindi ha. Promise meron yan." Coleen interjected with a teasing smile.
"Wala namang laman eh. Puro box lang eh." Maine said as she shakes the shoebox.
"Hahahaha... tignan mo nga, eh may umaalog sa loob." Collette said.
"Uu, baka naman bato lang to from the garden sa bahay." Maine said. "Pinag tritripan niyo lang ako eh."
"Hindi. Hahaha.... Promise may laman yan." Coleen said. "Dali na buksan mo na."
Maine finally opened the last box, and inside it is like a paper weight wrapped in a thin white sheet of paper. When she finally removed the paper wrap, she was reduced to being teary-eyed. She was holding a name plate bearing her name with the words "Attorney-at-Law" under it.

"Huy! Umiiyak ka ba?" Coleen asked when Maine didn't say anything else.
"Anong nangyayari dito?" Nico spoke as he steps in inside Maine's cubicle.
"Si Menggay umiiyak." Colette answered.
"Di mo ba nagustuhan yung regalo namin?" Nico asked. He then approached Maine.
Maine immediately hugged her big brother. "Thank you Kuya. I love it."
Nico hugged her back. "You're welcome. Sus, ang baby namin ang laki-laki na iyakin pa din." Nico teased her as he wipes the tears that were about to escape Maine's eyes.
"Wahahaha... Hanggang ngayon iyakin pa ka din." Collette said.
"Sus. Umaarte lang yan. Tignan mo muna. Parang mali ang spelling ng pangalan mo." Coleen continually teased her.
"Hindi ha! Tama kaya." Maine said.
"So sige na. Tama na yan. Bumalik na kayo sa mga trabaho nio." Mary Anne said. "Ikaw naman Menggay, mag ayos ka na. Mamayang mga alas 10 may meeting ka sa opisina ng tatay mo."
"Hala! Lagot ka! Ang bago bago mo meron ka na agad kasalanan." Coleen teased.
"Wala kaya." Maine answered.
"May meeting siya para malaman niya saan cia iaassign." Mary Anne said. "Menggay, 10AM sharp. Don't be late."
"Opo, Nay."
"Sige na, bumalik na kau sa mga upuan nio." Mary Anne finally said.
"Grabe ka Nanay. Kung pagtabuyan mo kame, parang di mo kme anak ha." Nico said.
"Hoy, hindi porket mga anak ko kau, eh aasta na kayo na boss dito." Mary Anne reprimanded them. "Dito sa opisina, lahat kayo abugado. Empleyado kayo dito. Hindi boss."
"Sabi nga po namin eh. Babalik na kame sa cubicles naming." Coleen said.
"Uu. Dapat lang. May mga kanya-kanya kayong kaso na dapat asikasuhin." Mary Anne said.
With that, Mary Anne, Nico, Collette and Coleen left Maine's cubicle.
