Laws of Attraction: 11

Another week had passed and RJ's team is now swamped with work for the upcoming pre-trial. They have been staying late for the past 5 days and they barely had enough sleep. Friday came and they still have tons of work to complete. RJ, Maine and Jing were in one of the conference rooms doing some discussions about the case premise.

"We need to ensure that all of our documents are complete and we ready to present it anytime." Maine said.

"Don't worry Maine, I have filed all the documents and everything is in order already." Jing replied.

"That's good. Mahirap na maipit dahil lang sa mga immaterial references." Richard said. He then looked at his watch and saw that it's already one in the afternoon. "Past lunch na pala. Let's take a break muna. Let's all have late lunch."

Jing looked at her watched and said, "Hala, lagot. Meron ako isang appointment ng 1:30 PM. Kayo na lang mag lunch."

"Ate Jing, kumain ka muna. I-move mo na lang yang meeting na yan." Maine said.

"Hindi pwede." Then Jing muttered. "Baka magalit na jowa ko pag nagcancel ulit ako."

"Bakit naman hindi ate? Baka naman magkasakit ka na nian." Maine asked in a concerned voice.

"Ah eh, kse... kailangan natin to para sa kaso. Uu, yon nga. Kailangan natin to sa kaso. At sa restaurant naman kame magkikita eh. Don na lang ako kakain." Jing meekly replied and she's already blushing.

"Ah eh kung sa about sa kaso naman pala yan, sama na lang ako sayo ate. Since sabi mo sa restaurant naman ng meeting mo. Pwede na tau don kumain." Maine answered.

"Ha? Hindi, hindi pwede." Jing said who is now in panic.

"Bakit hindi? Ate, para sabay-sabay na tau kumain din. And if that's for the case, mas mabuti na andon na din kme para malaman naming ano ang magiging impact nian."

"Naku, siguro may date ka noh? Hindi talaga yan para sa kaso." RJ teased Jing.

"Hi—hindi ha." Jing said.

"Anong, hindi? Eh namumula ka na eh. Hahahaha...." RJ continued to laugh and teased Jing. "Naks, dalaga na si Jing, lumalove life."

"Totoo Ate Jing? May date ka?" Maine asked with a teasing smile.

"Ikaw lang naman walang date eh?" RJ said with a smirk towards Maine.

"Heh! Di ikaw kausap ko. And for your information, wala ka ding date diba?" Maine retorted as she rolled her eyes on RJ.

"Hello, may I remind you, lalaki ako. It's my option if I want to invite someone out." RJ answered as he continued "Unlike you, walang nag kakainterest."

"Sigurado ka dyan?" Maine answered. "For your information lang din po, maraming nag-aaya sakin ng date. I just choose not to at the moment."

"Yeah, right. If you say so." RJ said in a teasing voice.

"Ate, sama mo na lang ako. Pakilala mo sakin yang jowa mo. Nang makilatis ko." Maine asked Jing.

"Hay naku. Minsan na nga lang ako aawra, magdadala pa ako ng chaperone. Naku Meng, hindi na. Dito ka na lang. Kau na lang ni RJ ang magsabay kumain."

"What did you say?" Maine asked.

"Sabi ko kau na lang nyang si RJ ang sabay mag lunch. Tutal gutom na din naman kau eh."

"Okay. Let's go I'm really hangry." RJ said as he stood up.

"No way Jose! Baka kung ano pa isipin ng mga tao noh." Maine said.

"Wow, as if naman noh! Oh My God! You're thinking of going on a date with me?" RJ teased her again,"For your information, I will never ever think of inviting you on a date." RJ said.

"The nerve. As if naman I will agree on going on a date with you!" Maine retorted.

"Hello kakasabi mo lang po." RJ continued, "Based on the premise of your previous statement, you're implying that we might be seen like we were dating."

"Ewwwww.... Kilabutan ka nga sa mga sinsabi mo." Maine said.

"Hep, hep, hep. Lunch lang pinag uusapan natin dito. Magsasabay lang kau kumain ngayon. Hindi pa kau magdadate. Sobrang advance nio naman." Jing butt in. "Maine, alam ko gutom ka na din. Sumabay ka na kay RJ para di ka mag isa kumain." Jing then turned to RJ and said, "Ikaw naman RJ, kung gusto mo ayain mag date si Maine, ayusin mo naman ang pagsasabi. Lagyan mo ng kahit onting sweetness." Jing then look at the two and then finally said, "Sige na, mauuna na ko. Baka mainip yung jowa ko don. Bye!"

Jing then stood up and walked out of the conference room. She then muttered herself, "Hay naku talaga tong dalawang to, sarap pag untigin ng mga labi eh." She then shook her head and continued to walk.

RJ and Maine were then left in the conference room. So, RJ then said, "Let's go!"

"Anong let's go?" Maine asked with one of her eyebrows raised.

"Malamang maglulunch. Duh! That's what normal people do on these time po. Baka lang di mo alam."

"Duh." Maine started to say, "Ikaw lang ang kasama ko?"

"Look, you can either go with me or eat on your own?" RJ said. "Besides, KKB to noh! Wag mo isipin na ililibre kita. Hindi ito date, kaya kanya kanyang bayad tayo."

"Of course. Di ko naman gugustohing magpalibre sau noh. Baka maging utang na loob ko pa sau yon."

"Well mabuti na malinaw. Bilisan mo dyan. Tumayo ka na." Richard said as he went out of the door.

Maine on the other hand stood up as well, then followed. "Wait, I will just get my wallet."

"Wag na. Mamaya na. Bayaran mo na lang ako mamaya. Bilisan mo at gutom na ko." RJ said as he held her arm and almost drag her to the elevator.

"Aray. Dahan dahan naman po. Kamay ko yang hinhila mo. hindi dog leash." Maine answered back as she tried to catch up with the long strides of RJ.

"San mo gusto kumain?" RJ asked.

"Sa McDo na lang. Para mura." Maine answered.

"Sige para makatipid." RJ answered as the elevator door closed.

The two were going out of the building when they were seen by RD and RK from afar.

"Kuya, look!" RK pointed RJ and Maine.

"Ha, ano yon?" RD asked.

"Si RJ and si Maine! Looks like sabay kakain ng lunch."

"Asan?" RD asked.

"Ayon oh, papasok ng McDo."

"Hahaha!!! Binata na si bunso!"

"Yes! Looks like mananalo tau sa pustahan. Excited na ko mag bakasyon!!!" RK said with a smile.

"Oo nga. Pero napaka kuripot talaga nito ni RJ. Unang date, McDo." RD commented as he shakes his head.

"Naku alam mo naman yon. Napaka kuripot talaga. Buti nga McDo pa nia dinate si Meng eh. Yung last na inaya nia mag date, sa fishballan nia dinala." RK recalled.

"Hahaha... Uu nga. Tapos nagtataka cia non bakit cia binasted." RD joined in laughing.

"Pero kuya, sa tingin mo, dapat ba nating tulungan yang si RJ. Medyo makupad kse eh."

"Hindi. Let him realized it on his own." RD then continued, "Mas masaya yan asarin pag finally narealize nia na in love na yan kay Maine."

RK then kept quiet for a minute and think, "Tama ka nga kuya. Mas masarap asarin yon pag nagkataon. Hahaha!!!"

"Tara na! May meeting pa ako." RD said and the two went inside their building.
