Tuesday morning, Maine woke up early. Because it's still early, she decided to cook breakfast for her family. She proceeded to go down to the kitchen. When she went inside the dirty kitchen, Yaya Pe, is already trying to prepare the things she's supposed to prepare for breakfast.

"Good Morning Yaya!" Maine greeted her yaya.

"Good morning, Menggay. Napaka aga mo namang magising?" Yaya said. "Teka, gutom ka noh!"

"Grabe ka naman yaya. Hindi po. Maaga lang kse ako nakatulog kagabi."

"Ah. Eh, bakit ang aga mo bumaba?"

"Eh, naisip ko po kase magluto ng breakfast para kila Tatay at Nanay."

"Naks, ang sweet naman ng alaga ko." Yaya said with a smile. "Ano ang gusto mo iluto?"

"Ano po ba yang hinahanda nio? Gusto ko sana magluto ng adobo with fried rice and omelet. Alam nio naman, yon ang specialty ko sa breakfast. Paborito nla lahat yon."

"Sabagay, sigurado gaganahan silang lahat kumain nian." Yaya said. "Teka, titignan ko yung kanin natin if marami pang natira kagabi. Pero nagsaing na din naman ako eh. Isangag na lang natin if ever."

"Ay, grabe naman. Pwede namang hindi na i-fry if ever."

"Naku, hindi pwede. Sigurado, mag aagawan sila Nico at Dean. Tapos pati Tatay mo makikigulo din. Alam mo naman yong tatlong yon. Pag nalaman nla na yon ang pagkain at ikaw pa ang nagluto, parang mga contruction worker kung kumain. Parang mga hindi abugado."

"Hahahaha!!! Grabe ka naman yaya."

"Tama ang yaya mo Menggay." Mary Anne said as she enters the kitchen.

"Nay! Good Morning po." Maine said as she kissed her mother's cheeks.

"Good Morning 'nak. Good Morning, Pe."

"Good Morning Ate." Yaya Pe greeted back.

"Naku, Menggay, sigurado matutuwa Tatay mo nito. Kagabi bago matulog, ang sabi ba naman magluto ako ng adobo. Parang naglilihi." Mary Anne said.

"Hahahaha!!! Talaga po?"

"Uu. Eh alam ko naman na ang gusto talagang sabihin eh, sabihan kita na ipagluto mo cia. Di naman yon kumakain ng adobo na hindi mo luto eh. At alam nia na di ko expertise yang ulam na yan."

"Uu nga Menggay. Si Kuya, mapili sa adobo. Minsan na nagluto si Miding naku, hindi kinain. Inamoy lang alam na hindi na ikaw ang nagluto." Yaya Pe quipped in.

"Hay, ang Tatay talaga." Maine said.

"Oh, sige na. Simulan na natin ito bago magising ang Tatay at mga kapatid mo."

"Sige po." Maine said and they all became busy in preparing the breakfast.

After about two hours, Mary Anne, Maine and Yaya Pe were already wrapping up the cooking they were all doing.

"Sige na po Ate. Ako na ang magliligpit dito at maghahain. Alam ko naman na kailangan nio pa maligo at magprepare bago kau umalis." Yaya Pe said.

"Sige, Pe. Mauuna na kme. Gigisingin ko pa si Theo." Mary Anne said. "Menggay, gisingin mo na din ang mga kapatid mo."

"Opo Nay. Salamat Yaya." Maine said with a smile. And with that, both mother and daughter headed towards the stairs to clean up.

After an hour, the Mendozas started coming down and went directly at the dining area, everyone except Maine.

"Ang bango. Hon, tama baa ng naaamoy ko?" Theo asked his wife.

"Bakit ano ba naaamoy mo?" Mary Anne asked him.

"Adobo!" Theo answered with a smile. "Si Menggay ko ba ang nagluto?"

"Uu. Maaga nagising kaya naisipang magluto." She answered.

"Ayos! Buti na lang nauna tau bumaba."

"Hala cia. Para kang bata. Uunahan mo pa mga anak mo."

"Aba, eh adobo ni Menggay yan noh. Talo-talo na to." Theo answered with a shrugged.

"Ay, ewan ko sa inyo." But as Mary Anne said that, they heard two sets of thumping sounds from the stairs.

"Ano yon?" Theo asked.

"Parang alam ko na. Hindi ano, sino?" Mary Anne answered him. And as she said that, Nico and Dean were all rushing down from the stairs and trying to out-run each other.

"Hoy, mag-ingat nga kau." Coleen said to the two.

"Hay naku, Kau talagang dalawa kahit kelan." Collette said as she goes down as well carrying Matti in her arms.

"Good Morning, Nay, Tay!" Both Nico and Dean said as they came running down and passing by their parents.

"Aba, hindi man lang huminto." Mary Anne said. When she looked at her side, her husband is also gone and was running after his sons. The three were racing towards the dining. Mary Anne just shook her head with a smile and just followed the three together with Collette, Coleen and John in tow.

They all now sat on their respective seats and is about to eat when Theo spoke, "Asan si Menggay?"

Mary Anne said, "Nasa taas pa malamang. Eh alam mo naman yon medyo mabagal magbihis."

"Tay, wag na natin antayin si Menggay. Gutom na ko." Dean quipped in.

"Uu nga Tay. Lalamig yung pagkain. Alam na yan ni Meng. Sanay na sya." Nico added.

"Oh, sige na nga. Hon, paki abot nga yung kanin." Theo said as he was already putting adobo on his plate.

Mary Anne immediately slapped his hand, which caused him to drop the serving spoon. "Aray! Bakit?" Theo asked.

"Baka gusto mo muna magdasal. Ikaw, nangunguna ka pa eh. Para ka ding bata eh. Basta talaga adobo ni Menggay ang nakaharap sayo, nagiging talo-talo na eh." Mary Anne reprimanded her husband.

Nico and Dean exchanged a smirked while Theo's daughters were laughing silently as their mother reprimanded their father. It was a sight to behold on that morning.

"Uu nga pala. Nakalimutan lang eh. Dean, lead the prayer." Theo then answered as he scratched the back of his hand.

Dean led the prayer before meal and when they finished, Theo was the first to reached for the adobo and at the same time for the rice.

The Mendozas where busy, that they didn't immediately saw that they had visitor. They only learned of the new occupant, when he finally spoke.

"Good Morning po Tito, Tita!" RJ readily greeted them with a huge smile.

"Oh, RJ. Ang aga mo ha. Bakit ka nandito?" Coleen asked.

"Hala, nalimutan mo na ba?" RJ asked.

"Ang alin?" Coleen asked back.

"Diba meron tau appointment ngayon kay Mr. Tuviera. Eh, nasa Subic sya eh. So, don natin cia imemeet?" RJ said.

"Hala! Uu nga pala. Hindi ko nasabihan si Menggay!"

"Shit!" RJ exclaimed silently. He totally forgot that the said case was re-assigned to Maine already. "Well, pwedeng ako na lang naman ang pumunta." He immediately volunteered.

"Ano ka ba! Syempre hindi pwede. Kailangan mo si Menggay don." Coleen said.

"Pwede namang si Jing na lang ang isama ko eh."

"Mas okay kung silang dalawa. Teka, tatawagan ko si Jing, para dito na dumeretso na lang don." Coleen insisted.

RJ for his part can't do anything else. He has no choice but to spend the whole day with Maine.
