Disapproval

Alec's POV
My attacker was fast and I couldn't move due to being tied to a pole. I screamed as Sebastian kicked me in the face. "You know trash, you're nothing but a fag loser. No wonder that downworlder dumped you," Sebastian smirked punching me. "Damn you!" I yelled.
"What? Can't handle the truth, trash?"
"I'm going to kill you!"
"But you won't. How can you when you're tied up and getting beaten badly? I could even rape you if I decided but I won't. You're worthless, trash and you know it"
Sebastian was right. I couldn't kill him so I remained still allowing him to keep beating me. Sebastian smirked kicking me in the face five times. He grabbed my chin to slap each cheek and bite my nose. I screamed as he continued his beatings. Sebastian was going to kill me if he continued any longer and I bet he would be fine with it. His kicks and punches were the worst due to either doing it in the stomach, legs, or face. Then Sebastian was thrown across the alleyway. "What the heck, trash?!" Sebastian yelled glaring at me like it was my fault. "You know Sebastian, I won't hesitate to kill you," a voice snapped in front of Sebastian.
"Ah, if it isn't Bane. I'll kill you too!"
Magnus smiled before using his magic to kill Sebastian and free me from the ropes. I collapsed in Magnus's arms who carried me to his apartment to start the healing process.

Magnus's POV
"Alexander?" I asked when he first woke up. "M-Magnus," Alec struggled due to his voice almost being gone because of Sebastian's beating.
"You went out without protection"
"I had protection before I was grabbed by Sebastian and I completely lost it"
"Alexander, he could've killed you"
"What was I supposed to do, Magnus?! I was tied up so I couldn't defend myself!"
"You allowed him to continue! You could've at least squirmed making it harder for Sebastian"
"I did! He just made my ropes tighter by doing that"
"You're literally losing your voice. Don't yell"
"I would've let him continue you know"
I frowned. "He would've kept going until you were dead," I responded. "I already felt dead when I was being beaten," Alec explained.
"You-"
"I need to go home"
I shook my head. "You're not going back home. You need rest and medical help," I responded.
"Izzy will be worried!"
"And Jace won't?"
"..Jace died in my arms"
"..I'm sorry. That's the reason why you felt dead when being beaten, isn't it?"
"It's part of it"
"Explain"
"Well for starters, my father hates me. Izzy got raped and is now depressed and now my mother blames me. I might be forced to marry someone I don't even love which is making my depression worse"
"Wait, you have depression?"
"Yeah"
"When? How? Why?"
"Why do you care so much?"
"Why are you avoiding my questions?"
"Don't avoid mine!"
"You don't get it, do you? I have to care about you! Shadowhunters are my allies and I'm not going to stop caring about anyone"

"Are you serious right now? I only said that because I was angry!"
"I got depression 8 weeks after you broke up with me!"
I remained quiet. "I'm sorry, I should have cared more," I finally whispered.
