Awkward

Alec's POV
"How long are Magnus and Catarina staying at the Institute?!" I snapped at my mother wanting answers. "Three years," Maryse answered opening the front door to reveal Cat. "Hi Alec!" Cat exclaimed trying not to get that excited. I rolled my eyes allowing her to enter and of course Magnus just had to have a grand entrance as he jumped through the now open window into the Institute. He didn't really say anything and just bowed at our presence which was a high warlock tradition according to Magnus. "Magnus, Catarina, thank you both for coming," Maryse spoke. "Of course! I'm honored to stay here and help out!" Cat exclaimed. "You're very welcome," muttered Magnus. Yeah, this is not going to be awkward at all, I thought. Maryse had no idea of my breakup since I didn't really want to hear a 'I told you so' lecture. "Cat, you'll be sharing with Izzy. Magnus, you'll be sharing with Alec," Maryse announced. Wait, what? I heard Magnus curse under his breath before heading upstairs to my bedroom. I sighed and lead Cat to Izzy's. Cat thanked me as I headed to my bedroom. Magnus was sitting on the couch playing with his phone only looking up when he noticed me entering. "You take the bed, I'll take the couch," I spoke. "I'm fine on the couch, Alexander," Magnus snapped.
"Stop! If you're going to act like that, you may as well leave the Institute or we can accept our differences and move on"
"Don't you dare talk to me like that! I won't be leaving and there's no way we're going to be able to make this work!"
I gasped before walking out of the room slamming the door behind me. "Alec?" Jace asked, confused as I walked right into his bedroom. "He's unbelievable!" I yelled sitting myself down on the edge of his bed.
"What did Magnus do?"
"He talked back to me, Jace! He may be the high warlock but he doesn't have any right to treat people like servants!"
Jace sighed and stormed out of his room probably to go to Magnus.

Magnus's POV
"What?!" I yelled as Jace walked in. "You have no right to treat Alec like that!" Jace yelled.
"Maybe you should tell him not to speak to me like I'm nothing!"
Jace gasped and slapped me across the face hard twice. "You're selfish, Magnus!" Jace screamed before kicking me in the stomach and left me alone.

Cat's POV
"Jace! How could you?!" I screamed slapping him hard. I had found out what he did to Magnus since he told me and I walked out to sorta teach Jace a lesson. Alec walked in and screamed at me for hurting his parabatai. I just yelled at him back that I only slapped him once before storming out.

Jace's POV
I scowled at Magnus, who was with Alec speaking to him, as I walked to the kitchen closing the door. I heard Alec scream making me run. "What happened?!" I yelled. Magnus was on the ground and looked like he was hurt. Alec was clutching to his hand that was burned. "I just grabbed for my phone and my hand decided to get burned out of nowhere," Alec explained.
"And Magnus?"
"What? I just grabbed his hand and flew to the other side of the room," Magnus announced getting up off the floor. "I thought you did something!" I yelled.
"I would never hurt Alexander!"
"You already have!"
"Shut up, Jace!" Alec yelled before storming out to the kitchen with Magnus following behind.

Magnus's POV
"Alec?" I asked, cautiously. "What did you do?! Somehow, I was a better liar!" Alec yelled.
"You believe I hurt you on purpose?"
"You probably did!"
I sighed and walked over resting my hand on his shoulder. Alec flinched from my touch so I grabbed his hand and pulled him to his bedroom passing a very furious Jace. I pushed Alec gently onto his bed. "I was doing a test," I explained. "What kind of test?" Alec asked.
"I saw your injury on your hand Alec and when you told me what happened, I had to test you to see if you had warlock blood"
"But I don't, right?"
"Alexander, you do. Otherwise, your hand wouldn't burn and I wouldn't have flew across the room"
