Harold woke up and blinked in the bright morning sunlight. "Sik?" Asked Harold. "Good morning." Said Sik. "What time is it?" Asked Harold. "Nine forty two AM." Said Sik. "Nine forty two?! We are late! Late!" Said Harold falling out of his bed and landing on the floor. "Sik, go get Aaron up." Said Harold as he grabbed a backpack and started tossing everything into the bag.
"Sir Aaron, you need to wake up." Said Sik. "What time is it?" Asked Aaron. "It is nine forty six AM." Said Sik. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, way to late." Said Aaron jumping out of bed and running to his suitcase. Harold ran out of his room and down the stairs. He ran into the lab and put the teleporter into its travel case.
"Aaron! Are you awake yet?" Asked Harold. "I'm up, I'm up." Said Aaron running down the stairs. "Sik, you're coming with us, in physical form. Come on." Said Harold. "Yes sir." Said Sik walking behind them. "Push the cart for us. Thank you." Said Harold as Sik pushed the cart of gear and baggage. They jumped into Harold's car and drove to the airport.
"You're late." Said Sarah as Harold, Aaron, and Sik ran up to the airport. "So, so, so, so, sorry Sarah. We were woken late." Said Harold. "It's fine. Put the cart into the plane and get inside." Said Sarah as she walked up the steps of the plane. Sik pushed the cart into the back of the plane and they all climbed inside. "Ready?" Asked Sarah. "Yes." Said Harold. The plane's door closed and the engines turned on. The plane taxied from the hanger and down the runway.
The plane took off into the sky and towards Hawaii. "We have a couple hours." Said Sarah. "Good, I'll get the last of the work done on my laptop." Said Harold as he brought up a holographic image of the teleporter.
Aaron looked out the window and saw Australia pass below them. "How fast does this plane go?" Asked Aaron. "Approximately two thousand five hundred miles per hour. We beat the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird by three hundred miles per hour." Said Sarah. "And as of right now Australia is gone." Said Aaron. "Yes I miscalculated, we are going to land in Hawaii in about ten-twenty minutes." Said Sarah. "Good." Said Aaron.
Around 15 minutes later the plane slowed down as it flew over Hawaii. They slowed down to a glide as they landed on the runway and slowed to a stop. The door opened and Sarah stepped out of the plane. "Come on, our tent was set up around ten twenty minutes ago." Said Sarah as she walked briskly towards the resort. "Come on, Sik go get the cart." Said Harold as they followed Sarah. People turned around as they walked by. Sarah walked over to a tent that read 'Kang Science and Engineering labs'. "It feels good to be here." Said Harold setting down his bag and Sik rolled the cart into place. "Sik, set up the machine and Aaron, Sarah, and I will be back." Said Harold. Sik nodded as they left.
Harold walked up to the front desk of the resort. "Hello, is there a reservation for Kang, a group of four?" Asked Harold. "Yes there is, here are your keys, three rooms." Said the clerk. "Thanks." Said Harold as he grabbed the keys and handed them to Sarah and Aaron. "We are all on the top floor. Over looking the ocean." Said Harold. "Nice." Said Aaron. They walked towards the elevator and went to the top floor.
They reached their rooms. "They're all joint rooms." Said Harold. "Cool." Said Aaron as they walked in. Harold set his gear on his bed and he looked out the window. Harold sat on the porch and looked at the ocean. "Dad?" Asked Aaron from the next porch. "Yeah?" Asked Harold. "How are we going to showcase your invention?" Asked Aaron. "I will go." Said Harold. "But we don't know with anything alive if it will work." Said Aaron. "I know, but it will be fine, we've tried a lot of things and this will work." Said Harold. "I trust you, but if you don't come back I'll go after you." Said Aaron. "I appreciate that but don't do that." Said Harold.
A few hours passed as they sat around and relaxed, Aaron was down at the pool relaxing and Sarah was talking in a meeting with the head of the convention. Harold was sitting in the room tinkering with the little things on Sik and the machine.
"Sir, how are we going to win?" Asked Sik. "Technically it's not winning, it is getting huge check for a few million dollars that we can use for our company." Said Harold. "Okay, I see." Said Sik. "And we 'won' a few years ago because of you." Said Harold.
Harold's phone started to buzz and he grabbed it. "Harold here." Said Harold. "Harold, it is me." Said Sarah. "Okay, what do you need?" Asked Harold. "The rehearsal dinner is in twenty minutes. I'm coming up to get ready." Said Sarah. "Okay, I'll get Aaron up here." Said Harold as he hung up. He dialed Aaron and the phone rang. "Yello?" Asked Aaron. "The dinner is in twenty minutes, come on up and get ready." Said Harold. "Okay, on my way." Said Aaron as he hung up.
A few minutes later Aaron ran into his room and got ready for the dinner. Harold knocked on his door and he opened it. "We have ten minutes." Said Harold. "Gotcha." Said Aaron as they walked out the door and down the hall.
"Good, you made it." Said Sarah as they walked into the rehearsal dinner. "Yes we did." Said Harold. "I want you to meet the board director for the convention, Mrs. Doonshim." Said Sarah as Mrs. Doonshim stuck her hand out. "Nice to meet you Harold, I've heard you've brought some pretty nifty creations into the place." Said Mrs. Doonshim. "Well ma'am I wouldn't call them nifty creations, more so intelligent innovations." Said Harold. "I like that." Said Mrs. Doonshim smiling. "Good, I like it when I can add to the scientific community." Said Harold.
