Aaron looked at Anise who was looking out the window. The phone rang and he sighed. "Who's calling?" Asked Aaron. "A number from the surface of Mars." Said Anise. "It could be undercover G.F. Who know our number." Said Aaron. "It could be Harold." Said Anise. "No I've come to peace that he is dead." Said Aaron. "You okay in there?" Asked Gordon over the comms. "Yeah everything is fine, Galactic Forces just called." Said Aaron. "What did they say?" Asked Gordon. "Nothing, we didn't answer." Said Aaron. "Good job." Said Gordon smiling.
Gordon climbed into the ship and took off his space suit. "No matter how cold space is, these suits are like a sauna." Said Gordon. "Tell me about it." Said Aaron. "Here's your key piece." Said Gordon handing Aaron a small wooden box. "Thank you, I'll take it to the lab." Said Aaron grabbing the box and walking down the hall. Sik followed behind.
"That was someone from Mars calling, wasn't it?" Asked Sik. "Yes, no, I don't know Sik. Okay, please I don't want to talk about it." Said Aaron. "Okay Aaron but if it is Harold we can go save him." Said Sik. "Do you not understand the concept of death?" Asked Aaron. "Well I do but I can't die." Said Sik. "Sik, you have 'died' you can say but all you are is just an AI that has memory chips in its head and a CPU. All you are is a bucket of nuts and bolts and gears. You'll never understand what humans understand." Said Aaron storming off. Sik watched Aaron storm off and he walked back to Gordon.
"Why'd you come back?" Asked Gordon slipping the space suit off and putting it into the locker. "Aaron is mad, he is going through grief." Said Sik. "Yeah of course he is, I am and so are you." Said Gordon. "I'm just a robot." Said Sik. "But Harold designed you to be more than just a robot." Said Gordon. "Yeah but right now I feel more robot than human." Said Sik. "Yeah I know. Just I would give Aaron space, why not you and Anise go and do something. Like repair the broken parts of the ship." Said Gordon. "Using me to build your ship. Thanks." Said Sik. "I mean only if you want." Said Gordon. "I do want to." Said Sik standing up and leaving the room.
Gordon stood up and walked into the lab where Aaron was studying the box. "Why are we still on Pluto?" Asked Aaron. "Felt like taking a break and Sik and Anise are repairing the ship." Said Gordon. "Good, that means we can relax until Galactic Force can ping a signal on us and catch us." Said Aaron. "Well yeah but it'll be a day or two." Said Gordon.
There was a click and Aaron stepped back from the box. "I would duck." Said Aaron. "Why?" Asked Gordon. Aaron grabbed Gordon and yanked him down to the ground. A piece of the key shot through the wall and connected to the fourth piece. Two more pieces came flying into the room. A loud crack erupted through the room and Aaron stood up. The key was sitting on the ground smoldering. "So it exploded." Said Aaron. "Really?" Asked Gordon. "Caught on fire I mean." Said Aaron. Gordon laughed and looked at the key.
"So now what?" Asked Gordon. "The key should show us where Atlantis of space is." Said Aaron as the key floated into the air and it faced North. "We go North." Said Gordon. "Anise, follow the key." Said Gordon. The ship tilted and then started to go forward towards Atlantis. "This is insane." Said Aaron standing next to the AI board. "We are so close to it, Harold would be proud." Said Gordon. "Don't speak of him." Said Aaron. "Why not. Speaking of him will help." Said Gordon. "I don't think so." Said Aaron walking away. "Anise, keep flying, I'm going to go talk to Aaron." Said Gordon following Aaron.
"Aaron." Said Gordon knocking on the doorway. "What Gordon?" Asked Aaron as he sat down at his desk and grabbed a tool kit. "What are you working on?" Asked Gordon walking into the room. "I am building a pulse rifle." Said Aaron. "That technology already exists." Said Gordon. "I know. I took an old one from the armory and I am modifying two of them so if we run into anything we will be fine." Said Aaron. "That sounds really smart, what are you modifying on it?" Asked Gordon sitting down.
Aaron spun in his chair and looked at Gordon. "I am adding a faster recharge and bigger ammo capacity." Said Aaron. "Anything else?" Asked Gordon. "A stronger pulse." Said Aaron spinning back to the desk and grabbing a wrench.
"Aaron." Said Gordon. "I know what you want to talk about. But no, not yet at least. I haven't gotten over that he is dead. I know he created this huge robotic industry but I need him back, I barely know you and as of right now Sik is the closest to a father figure I have right now." Said Aaron. "That makes sense. But I wanted to say how proud he would be and how proud I am of you for finding this place." Said Gordon. "Thank you." Said Aaron.
Gordon stood up and started to walk out the door. "Oh and Aaron. I know I might not be a father figure but I am still human." Said Gordon walking out the door. Aaron sighed and looked out the small porthole. He saw That they were passing Jupiter. Aaron went back to working on the pulse rifle.
"Sik, Anise, eta?" Asked Gordon. "Since we don't know where we need to go we have no idea, but we might be able to hard wire Anise and I's storage units to it and download all the information to where this place is located. Then we can use it to open it and get there a lot faster." Said Sik. "Good idea, get working on that. I am heading off to go sleep." Said Gordon.
