Harold sat in the study of the ship. "Harold. How do you know Gordon?" Asked Aaron sitting down in a seat across from Harold. Harold sighed and set his glasses on the table and started to rub his eyes. "Tell me Harold. Stop stalling." Said Aaron.
"Okay, okay, okay. I will tell you. Just let me think." Said Harold. "Well okay. I'm here waiting." Said Aaron. Harold looked at Aaron. "Okay. Gordon. He and I go back, back to college times. He and I were college roommates. Now don't interrupt me. So we went into law enforcement together after college and spent a few years there. I started a family, and so did he. We were on patrol the week or so after you were born. We had a call come in about a farmer was seeing lights and flashes in his fields. He thought he heard alien noises. So since we were closest we turned on our sirens and went to go check it out." Said Harold.
"That doesn't explain how he is here now, and in 3004." Said Aaron. "I know. So on our way he and I were joking around. How aliens or people from the future are there. So we were talking about how teleportation should be real when it isn't. So we made it to the field and walked out wit hour weapons drawn. All of a sudden there was a loud blast like a laser pistol and Gordon went down. I ducked and jumped into the corn stalks next to the path. Then humans walked up to Gordon and dragged him away. As they were they dropped something on the path. I grabbed it and ran back to the car and called in a kidnapping. A few months after we searched Gordon was presumed dead. Turns out those men were the Galactic Forces and needed Gordon, but since I wasn't there to see they couldn't take me as well." Said Harold.
"Wow, what was the thing you grabbed?" Asked Aaron. "A phone like item that controlled something." Said Harold. "And what did you do with it?" Asked Aaron. "It's in a box in the attic." Said Harold.
"Why didn't you ever tell me?" Asked Aaron. "That was a past life I didn't want to relive." Said Harold. "Like what happened during the End of the World." Said Aaron. "That was published into a book. You read it." Said Harold. "So how do you two know about the key to Atlantis?" Asked Aaron. "Sky City is why there's a war. The enemies think that they have the pieces but they don't. Only four people do. We, and three others." Said Harold. "How can we find it?" Asked Aaron.
"The council for Sky City knows where all four pieces went." Said Harold. "Then why not ask them?" Asked Aaron. "They are all dead." Said Harold. "But the council was there today." Said Aaron. "No, that was the temporary council. The original nine were killed." Said Harold. "How?" Asked Aaron.
"They were all assassinated. By themselves." Said Harold. "How is that possible?" Asked Aaron. "There have been rumors that one of the ten was an inside man and poisoned the other nine and they turned on each other." Said Harold. "Wait, other nine?" Asked Aaron.
"Yeah. Ollie Bonch, the tenth member of the original council." Said Gordon walking into the study. "How do you know?" Asked Aaron. "He was taken in a few days ago, found in the enemy lines as a General. General Bonch. Funny name." Said Gordon laughing. "Well where is he?" Asked Aaron. "On board." Said Gordon.
Aaron jumped up. "Why would you bring a killer on board?" Asked Aaron. "No, no, he's in confinement." Said Gordon. "Okay, good." Said Aaron. "Here, you can question him." Said Gordon. Aaron and Harold stood up and followed Gordon to the confinement room.
"Mr. Bonch. You alive in there?" Asked Gordon rasping on the door. "No, leave me alone." Said Ollie turning away. "We just want to ask a few questions." Said Harold. "Who are you?" Asked Ollie. "I work with Gordon." Said Harold. "Who's the kid?" Asked Ollie. "That's my son, Aaron." Said Harold. "Hello Aaron. Nice to meet you. I'm Ollie Bonch, Gordon, that bad man put me in here." Said Ollie. "Enough with the lies. Answer our questions." Said Gordon.
"Alright, fine." Said Ollie. "Were you part of the original ten members of the council of Sky City?" Asked Harold. "Yes of course I was, legally voted in and have been on it for thirty years." Said Ollie. "What happened to the other nine members?" Asked Aaron. "They all killed themselves." Said Ollie. "How did they do that?" Asked Harold. "They all went crazy because of the war." Said Ollie. "War doesn't make nine politicians go killer crazy." Said Harold.
Ollie laughed and started to cough. "War can do anything to a man." Said Ollie. "Well there have rumors that you poisoned them." Said Harold. "That ole rumor. Yeah it's true." Said Ollie. "Then why didn't you tell us that in the beginning?" Asked Harold. "The poison is called war. Remember Harold. We called war with them. Not the other way around. We have lied to our people. I ad to do what I did. I wanted the truth out, not a lie." Said Ollie.
"So the other nine members wanted war, you didn't. I'm guessing you were outvoted. So then the other nine members told the citizens that the enemy called war on ya'll. You knew the truth, wanted it out. But the only way to do it was with poison. And you conveniently called it War, the members were killing people with war, so you wanted them to have a taste of their own medicine?" Asked Aaron.
"Hahahahahah. You have a very, very smart kid on your hands." Said Ollie. "How did you figure that out?" Asked Harold. "Easy, I just put together all the puzzle pieces." Said Aaron. "Well I think I'm done here, can I go back to prison where I can have fights and bad food?" Asked Ollie. "I think we need to keep you around." Said Gordon walking out of the room. Harold and Aaron followed.
