( Jisoo's POV )

While eating breakfast the next morning, my father walked up to Jennie and I and said, " Girls, we have a visitor coming over for lunch and to introduce us to his son, who will hopefully be one of your girls' future husband."

" No," Amma interrupted," He will marry Jennie, I won't let him even see a piece of garbage like Jisoo."

" But Amma, Jisoo will be at the wedding even if we do get married," Jennie replied.

" I'll make sure she's locked up nice and tight in this house," She answered while I began tearing up, " Jisoo, you'll stay in your room when he comes."

" Yes Amma," I managed to say, tears at the brim of my eyes.

( 12p.m., Jennie's POV )

I was wearing a white, short sleeve top with some blue shorts and I was applying some foundation to my face and a light coat of mascara to my eyelashes.I felt bad for Jisoo, locked up in her room. Why can't Amma treat her better? I mean, she's already adopted, and my parents who adopted her aren't even rich.

" Jennie!"Amma called.

" Coming!" I shouted back. I waved to Jisoo, but she ignored me.

" Come with me," I told her.

" But Amma-"

" I said come with me!" I repeated. She slowly got off of her bed and followed me to the small dining table, where I saw a gorgeous boy standing there.

" Hello, I'm Jennie," I introduced myself. But, he wasn't paying attention to me, his gaze was somewhere else. I followed his gaze to see that he was staring at Jisoo.

( Tao's POV )

The carpenter's, well, I should say Mr. Kim's daughters, approached me. I mean, one of them did, the other one was hiding in the back looking afraid. She was beautiful, I was focusing on her so much that I didn't even hear the first girl's introduction. I think she said her name was Jennie. Yeah, Jennie. She was pretty, but not as pretty as her sister whose name I didn't know.

( Jisoo's POV )

I was so scared out there that I didn't even look at whoever that guy was.
" Hi Jennie, I'm Tao," he introduced. So, his name is Tao. I felt a pair of eyes watching me, so I looked in front of Jennie to see the most handsome guy I had ever seen.

" Jisoo," Jennie whispered, nudging me with her elbow. She was trying to tell me to introduce myself.

" H- hi," I stuttered, " I- I'm J- Jisoo." I was really shy.

" Nice to meet you two," he said.

" Nice to meet you too," Jennie replied.

We also met his father who I found out was very wealthy while we were eating lunch. My mom cooked a huge bowl of naengmyeon that took her hours to make.

This is what the dish looks like:

After having lunch, Tao followed me to my bedroom and asked,  " So, Jisoo, are you single?"

After having lunch, Tao followed me to my bedroom and asked,  " So, Jisoo, are you single?"

" Yeah," I replied, closing the door.

" Can I give you my number?" he asked.

I nodded my head and took out my old iPhone 4 and gave it to him. I would've had the iPhone 7, if only it wasn't for Amma telling my parents to not get it for me.

( Jennie's POV )

I saw Tao follow Jisoo into our bedroom... What was he doing? I stood outside the bedroom door and pressed my ear against the wooden door to hear what they were talking about. He wanted her phone number? What? Asking her if she's single? WHAT?!

I heard the door opening so I bolted back to the dining room before he could see me. Before he got into his car, I held his wrist and asked, " Do you want my phone number?"

"Uh," he hesitated, " Sure..."

I grabbed his phone from his hand and entered my phone number.

" By the way, I'm single," I informed him.

" Okay, " he replied, not even making eye contact with me. Probably cause he can't handle my beauty.

( Tao's POV )

It's not that I didn't want Jennie's number, it's just that's... I'm not really interested in her...
