( Jisoo's POV )
I came to an abrupt stop when I heard those words come out of his mouth.
" Mr. Huang," Jennie began. I couldn't listen, so I ran out of the church in tears and surprisingly no one noticed.
( Lisa's POV )
" Call me appa-"
" Mr. Huang!" Jennie raised her voice, " I'm sorry, but I can't marry your son." She managed to say as tears formed in her eyes, " He loves someone else, and that someone isn't me."
" Jennie, we can work this out-"
" She's right," Tao interrupted his father. Talk about dramatic. Wait, if Tao isn't marrying Jennie, then I have a chance with him. Yes!
( Tao's POV )
I began to search the place for Jisoo and I didn't see her at all.
" Where's Jisoo?" I asked one of the guards as I approached them.
" She left," he responded. Without thinking twice, I bolted out of the place and into the streets.
" Jisoo, Jisoo, Jisoo," I mumbled, running around the place like a crazy person.
That was until my eyes landed on Jisoo, who was standing by a bridge, looking down at the choppy waters.
" Jisoo, don't!" I shouted as I bolted towards her. She was positioning herself to jump over the railing and into the water.
She looked over at me and she had mascara running down her face and her eyes were swollen. Before I could approach her, it was too late. She had already dove into the water.
Quickly, I followed her actions so that I could save her before she was gone.
" Ah!" I yelled as the ice cold water slapped me on my face. I swam under the water and found Jisoo sinking deeper and deeper by the second. Luckily I was able to swim down, grab her and bring her back up to the surface. I began to cough as she lay in my arms, motionless.
"Ay!" I heard someone yell. I looked over my shoulder to see a fisherman heading towards us on his boat.
" Come on," he instructed. He pulled Jisoo onto the boat, then I managed to hop on after. He carried us back to the park and I thanked him. Jisoo and I laid on the grass while I tried to wake her up.
( Jisoo's POV )
" Jisoo, yah," I heard Tao say as he pressed his hands down on my chest. Slowly, I opened my eyes and was greeted by the heat of the sun's rays as the sun was setting. After realizing I was alive, he threw his body next to mine and yawned.
" Why did you save me?" I whispered.
" Huh?" He asked as he furrowed his eyebrows.
" Why didn't you leave me to die?" I asked.
At that point, I thought that if I couldn't be with him, then I couldn't be happy again.
" Because I love you," he answered as he kissed my forehead.
( Jennie's POV )
" Hey, don't worry," Rosé comforted me. Yes, we're friends again. Rosé and Lisa were trying to make me feel better because I was crying. Mainly because I didn't want to remember my wedding this way and Mr. Huang was pretty disappointed with how this whole event turned out.
" Lisa must feel worse, she used to date him," Rosé tried to comfort me.
" That was two years ago!" Lisa interrupted which made me laugh.
" Awww, and you still love him," Rosé teased.
" U- uh," she stuttered, " Of course not! I don't have feelings for him anymore!"
" Whatever you say, Lisa," Rosé shrugged her shoulders as Lisa began to blush. Hmm... Interesting...
( Lisa's POV )
Hopefully no one caught me blushing cause that would've caused a whole bunch of drama. Anyway, the good thing is that Tao is now single, so I can date him without hurting anyone's feelings. Right?
