The Truth Hurts ( HIATUS )

Chapter 26

( Jisoo's POV )

" Oops, sorry for the rude introduction, I just thought you were someone else," she scratched the back of her neck, " I'm Jennie."

" I'm Jisoo," I bowed.

" Jisoo, I didn't know you were auditioning too," the other girl asked.

" She's Rosé," Jennie whispered. I was dying to know how all of these people knew me but I didn't know them.

" Yeah, I am," I told Rosé. Lisa, Jennie, Rosé and I decided to go out for lunch as we had a whole hour to spare.

We went to the YG café. After we realized that it was exactly two minutes until 1:30p.m., we dashed out of the café and into the YG building, where we arrived right on time.

" Can everyone for 1:30 line up here!? Everyone for 1:30 only!" A very young woman shouted.

The four of us, along with a crowd of other wannabes, rushed into the waiting room where we were split into our groups of six to go into the auditioning room to audition. I was in the first group with Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and two other guys.

We nervously entered what looked like a dance studio and stood behind the line of tape. I was the first person to go, so I was instructed to stand on the X which was a few feet away from the camera.

I was also told to introduce myself, sing my song and whatever I do, just don't break eye contact with the camera. I did as I was told, and my audition finished faster than I had anticipated.

After waiting for the rest of my friends, the three of them then exchanged their phone numbers with mine and we waved goodbye.

" How was the audition?" Tae- Hwan asked as he laid down next to me on the bed. It was now 9p.m. and I was lying down in bed, staring out at the city lights through the window.

" It was okay," I sighed, " I hope I get accepted, though."

" You'll be fine," he comforted me, " Get some rest."

" Sure," I yawned as I snuggled up next to him," Good night."

" Night," he replied. Even though I was tired, I had trouble falling asleep because I couldn't stop thinking about tomorrow.

Tomorrow, I have to go back to the building to see who got accepted, and who didn't. It's only gonna be four lucky girls, cause Yang Hyun Suk is looking for a girl group with four members. I hope I'm one of them...

*** The Next Morning ***

I woke up as bright as the sunshine and I was confident. I ran down the staircase and smelt something like food. Oh God, please don't tell me he's cooking again. If he is, I'm just gonna be honest this time.

Thankfully, I was just smelling the strong scent of coffee, so there was no need for me to hurt anyone's feelings.

" Good morning!" I said gleefully as I swiped the mug off of the glass dining table.

" Good.... Morning?" Tae- Hwan replied, " Since when are you so happy?"

" Positivity!" I giggled. After breakfast, I them rushed to the bathroom to do my makeup and pick out the perfect outfit, even though there's a 50% chance that I wouldn't be accepted.

" How much longer?! I've been waiting down here for an hour!" Tae- Hwan shouted. I made him wait for me so that he could drop me off, " I'm gonna be late for work!"

" Okay!" I yelled as I added a coat of mascara. Done. Now, it was time to go and see how lucky I really am...

" Lisa?" I asked as I tapped a familiar looking girl on her shoulder.

" Hey," Lisa turned around and smiled, " You excited?"

" Kind of," I responded, " You?"

" Not really," she shook her head.

" I have arrived!" Jennie announced as she entered the building.

" Sup," Rosé said approaching Lisa and I, " I woke up early for this, the results better be what I wanted."

" Hopefully," Lisa and I giggled.

" Ladies, may I please get your attention," Yang Hyun Suk said on a microphone. Well, here we go...

" Today, I will announce the four lucky girls, I chose to join our YG family, and they will form a new girl group called Blackpink," he continued, " If I call your name, you will step out of the crowd. Alright, without further due, let's begin. I have chosen Kim Jennie, Lalisa Manohban, Park Chae- young and..." I felt like my heart was going to burst out of my chest.

I took a glance at the girls who had already been selected and they were Jennie, Lisa and Rosé . Just one more, who I was hoping to be me.

" Last but definitely not least, Kim Jisoo."

I excitedly skipped out of the crowd as the rest of the girls groaned in disappointment. I joined my three friends and they quietly applauded me.

( Tao's POV )

"Are you kidding me?!" I yelled as I slammed my fist against the table. I was in my office with a detective and two policemen trying to track down who harmed Jisoo. There were cameras by the church, which showed that she was with her friend Lisa, but no cameras by the lookout.

" Sir, we're very sorry, but-"

" I don't care!" I interrupted, " You're gonna find suspects and sort this out whether you like it or not!"
