( Jia's POV )

I was leaning on a car, smoking in the garage and taking a glimpse of the sunset when I heard footsteps echoing down the the staircase.

" Come out, come out, wherever you are," Jennie sang.
" What do you want," I said.
" Ugh," she coughed, " No smoking is allowed indoors!"

" Does it look like I give a shit?" I asked as she shook her head," Where's my money?"

" Take it," she said handing me a black bag. I unzipped it and counted all of the money to make sure that she paid me the right amount.
" Thanks!" I thanked her, flicking the ashes off of the cigarette.

" Amma, mom and dad are here, they wanna see you," she told me. Amma, mom and dad... Oh yeah, the cranky old lady and Jisoo's  parents. How wonderful.

Without saying another word, I made my way upstairs to my room where I hid the bag of money under my bed. Then I ran downstairs to greet them and tried to act like the happiest person in the world.

" Eomma! Appa!" I exclaimed as I hugged them.
" Jisoo!" They greeted, hugging me back. If only I could tell them the truth.
" Amma!" I waved with a fake smile plastered in my face.

" Peasant," I heard her mumble. Damn...What the hell did Jisoo do to deserve this snob?

( Jisoo's POV )

I was sleeping in bed with Tae- Hwan when I heard thunder booming. Thunder is my number one fear. Lightning then flashed and I couldn't take it anymore. I turned around, threw the pillow that was separating us from each other on the floor, and hugged him.

" Huh, what," he opened his eyes.
" I'm scared," I mumbled.
" This girl," he laughed, hugging me back. We stayed in that position until morning.

I woke up to the smell of food the next morning. I slowly opened my eyes and scurried to the kitchen to see Tae- Hwan cooking ramen.

" I've never cooked in my life," he told me. He then picked up his chopsticks and fed me some noodles. I felt my eye begin to twitch. It was so salty, he added so much soy sauce. I was surprised that I didn't get a heart attack right in the spot.

" Is it good?" He asked.
" Yeah," I lied.
" Did I add enough soy sauce?" He asked another question.
" Perfect amount," I lied again, still struggling to swallow the food.

" Great," he said. To make the situation even worse, he placed a whole bowl of it in front of me to eat for breakfast.

" Enjoy," he patted my head, " I'm going to work, bye."
" B- bye," I said staring down at the bowl of food. Dammit...

( Jia's POV )

" Morning Jennie," I said, passing her on my way to go get breakfast.
" Hold up," she grabbed my arm, " Act like you're in love with Tao, and be more friendly with Rosé, you're Jisoo."
"Whatever you say," I replied in an annoyed tone of voice. Great way to begin my day.

*** I'm gonna skip to night time since nothing interesting happened during the day ***

We were having our dinner out on the terrace when Mr. Huang, or I should say, Appa, raised his glass to make a toast.

" A toast, in honour of Jisoo, for surviving the fall from that 100 meter cliff, yet still being able to be with us today. To Jisoo !"

" To Jisoo!" Everyone else chorused, instead of Amma who rolled her eyes.

Everyone was hanging out on the terrace, but I was sitting on one of the swings in the garden. I just sat there staring at a rabbit that was hopping across the grass.

" Why aren't you with everyone?" I heard a deep voice ask. Startled, I looked behind me to see Tao.

"Just tired," I sighed. I was thinking about my own family. My mother is in the hospital, because she's suffering from lung cancer, and I doubt that I'm gonna get a chance to see her before she's gone in 3 months.

" You sound really down," he began pushing me on the swing, " You okay?"

" Yeah," I turned around to smile at him, " I promise."

" Okay, but whenever you have a problem come to me," he reassured me.

" I'd like that," I blushed. I felt really bad though, what if the real Jisoo loves him and I'm just cutting into her life. What if I'm a burden. I don't think I have to worry about her, cause I think Jennie said that she's dead, right?
