Eldon walks me back to the cottage. Apparently he knew a shortcut but we ended up getting lost. We found it in an hour.

My feet are really hurting, especially in these flats that West made me wear for some reason.

Eldon runs ahead of me and rushes back into the cottage. I send him a confused look, this boy is really weird. I enter the cottage on my own and see that it's really dark, the lights are all turned off.

It just started raining again and the fireplace is the only thing illuminating the room.

"Hello?" I call out

West, Eldon, Emily and James are nowhere to be seen. I glance at the kitchen to see that the dining table has been removed and placed in front of the fireplace.

I raise an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Man, hurry up," I hear West whisper from down the hall accompanied by a thud of something falling over.

"What the heck, West, where am I going?" James complains loudly.

"Shut up, you're wrecking it," Emily hisses.

I squint my eyes, it's really hard to see anything down the hall. I close the front door and cautiously enter the living room, standing beside one of the chairs on the table.

That's when I see James stumble into the room as well, I catch a glimpse of someone's arm that shoved James in front of me.

"Oh, hey," He smiles at me in surprise.

I look at his clothes, he's wearing one of his really nice shirts that he used to wear for special occasions only. I smile at James as he takes in my dress.

"You look really beautiful, Riley," James compliments

I blush slightly and walk up to him, looking at his newly cut hair, he looks just like the boy I saw before he left to England.

He looks down at me with a soft smile as I lift my hand to fix his hair slightly. James glances at my lips and then back up at my eyes.

I look up at him and feel myself start to lean in.

"Welcome!" Emily shouts from behind us and we pull away quickly, "Take a seat, sir and madam your meal will be served shortly,"

James quickly comes over to pull my chair out and tuck me in. It feels just like our date in Studio A. Our last and first one.

"So is this a date?" I ask curiously

James glances at Emily who goes into the kitchen, "I think so but I didn't plan it, I guess West, Emily and Eldon did it for us,"

I smile at him, "Well I'm glad they did,"

"I am as well," James chuckles

Soon, Eldon and West come and serve us our meals. They are all dressed formally as well.

We start eating and I catch James looking at me, "You know they locked me in the bathroom for an hour," He says

I giggle, "Well Eldon took me on a walk and nearly got us lost!"

James laughs, "But seriously though, I'm thankful for these guys," I see James's smile fade slightly.

"What's wrong?" I ask in concern

James shakes his head, "Oh nothing... Would you like to dance with me?"

I know he just changed the subject but for tonight, I'll let it go because I'm here with James and he's here with me.

I nod and he takes my hand, pulling me close to his chest. Suddenly, our song, We Go, starts playing from somewhere nearby. James and I laugh, knowing that one of our 'waiters' have planning for this as well.

I wrap my arms around his neck and James holds me on the small of my back, the sides of our heads pressed together. I feel so safe in his arms.

"You know what I've learned from spending a year away from you?" He whispers in my ear

"What?"

"That there can never be a girl as beautiful as you,"

I pull away from the side of his head and press our foreheads together, "And there can never be a guy as handsome as you,"

James smiles and closes his eyes. I close my eyes as well and just sway to the rhythm of the song. All the memories of us being together comes back to me. It makes me realise how much I truly love James and how... we can't be together after this.

I open my eyes to see James observing me, his head titled to the side slightly. I know he wants to kiss me and I do as well but I just can't do it anymore because if I do kiss him, I'll fall in love with him again.

If I fall in love with him again... I'll break his heart again.

okay so I wrote this like a month ago (I binge write these chapters) and now I have completely forgotten what was on James's mind when Riley asked what was wrong lol 😅. so yeah um sorry.

i'm such a bad writer lol 😂
