LOVE WAS NOT SOMETHING that came easily to Jimin. But once he found it, he found himself gripping onto the feeling. Everything had felt like a dream, like he was floating on cotton candy clouds. But the end of the night was near and when the first ray of sunlight shone on his, his dream had come to an end. He had clutched it too hard that it slipped through his fingers. He was soon holding onto nothing but fragile air. And suddenly, he was trying to piece together the moments he knew he had been a part of, wondering whether or not those memories were even real to begin with.

Even now, when he saw her laughing amongst her friends in the middle of a crowded bar, he felt a pang at his heart. She had her back turned to him, forgetting the dream they shared while he was still hung on the little details that kept him awake at night pondering over the vast possibilities.

"Forget her." He felt a hand press down on his shoulder in comfort and turned around to see Yoongi gaze at him with a sympathetic expression. He suppressed the urge to scoff. He did not want anyone's pity, least of all, his best friend's. Yoongi's expression changed immediately and he gave him a small smile, pushing a glass of alcohol into Jimin's empty hands. "Bottoms up."

He eyed the liquid warily before sighing, downing the glass in one go, hating the way that his throat burned with each large gulp. Yet he accepted another glass. And another. Soon, he was stumbling over his own feet as he crossed the bar, bumping into others and not apologizing like he would normally would. His eyes were zeroed to her figure, not wavering as he got closer. She was sipping a drink slowly and calmly, not the slightest bit drunk. When she saw Jimin approaching her, her body immediately stiffened.

"Are you fucking happy?" He pointed a finger in her face. The smile on her face dwindled down at the sight of him and her lips pressed together.

"Are you?" He prodded, getting closer, ignoring the glances that kept snapping to his form.

She turned away from him, escaping his scathing expression. "Jimin, don't embarrass yourself." She spat instead.

"Fuck you." He retorted, the words holding venom. Everything that he was too weak to say then came out now. "Fuck you for making me love you. Fuck you for leaving me." Before he could continue, Jungkook and Taehyung had walked over to him, grabbing him gently before pulling away.

"You're such- such a bad person." He slurred out loudly, stumbling over his feet. But his friends were there to set him upright. "Such a te- terrible person."

"Jimin-ah, that's enough. Let's go home." Taehyung said, pulling him by his arm. "Jungkook, can you get him outside while I go find the others and tell them?" Jimin leaned against Jungkook as Taehyung left. They began to slowly walk out of the bar into the curb where Jimin just collapsed.

"Hyung, come on. Get up. We're going home." The younger boy tried to bring him up to his feet with no avail. He just stubbornly sat on the side of the curb without paying any attention to his best friend.

"I still have- so much more to say." He said, his voice was strange and he took more than a couple pauses in between.

"You can tell her everything when you're sober."

He scoffed in return. "I can barely look at her when I'm drunk. When I'm sober, you think I'll be able to talk to her?"

"I get that you're sad. But you have to move on." Jungkook, who had never been in a relationship like Jimin had been did not know how to console him.

Jimin smiled widely. "You know what I hate?"

"I hate that I still love her so fucking much. Why do I feel like this, Jungkook-ah?" He hummed staring up at the standing boy.

With a sigh, he tried to come up with an answer. "Love makes you feel these things, hyung." He tried to sound wise but Jungkook, who had only ever loved his parents and his friends, was hurt seeing Jimin so miserable. Jimin, who had always been there for him when he felt sad. And now, he couldn't do anything for him other than offer him meaningless words.

"I guess that's just how it works." He sat down beside Jimin and allowed him to rest his head on his shoulder. He understood why his closest friend was so hurt. Jimin was a person who couldn't stop loving once he started.
