NAMJOON HAD ALWAYS BEEN open with his feelings. He felt that it was better to get everything out into the open so that he didn't regret it later. He had always lived like that whether it was with his friends, his family or with his relationships. This trait of his cost him a couple relationships but they also brought him many moments of joy. But with her, he could never string up the correct words to summarize how he left about her.

When she would smile brightly up at him when they crossed paths, he could swear that he could taste how sweet it was. It was strange that one girl was making him feel all those ways, a feeling so foreign and strange to him that at first, he didn't even want to acknowledge it.

"Just confess to her already!" Jungkook whined from his side of the couch. They were both in Namjoon's apartment and they were watching some move of his choice.

Namjoon rolled his eyes. "What do you know about girls, Jungkook? The only women you've had interaction with is your family."

He grinned slightly when he felt the soft hit of the younger boy on his shoulder. "I know enough to see that you've been pining after for like- a month. That's practically ancient for you."

"Don't be smart." He teased, but once they brought her up into the conversation, her face was all he could think about. He remembered how she would always get annoyed by the way that her short hair escaped the tie that she usually put it in and would just blow it back. He hadn't always been a fan of classic music but as soon as she began to blast it from her apartment next door, he took a particular liking to it.

He'd always thought that brown eyes were rather boring but a look into hers was enough to leave him wanting to stare into them for a lifetime. She had him wrapped around her finger and yet she didn't even know his name.

When it got deep into the night, well after Jungkook had left and Namjoon was working on his music, he often got hungry. Pushing back the chair, he stepped away from the large computer that held his latest composition. He wasn't sure whether it would get released or not, but he liked it a lot and that seemed to be enough for now.

Locking up his door, he walked out of the spacious apartment complex. When the elevator door was about to close, he heard a quick wait and pressed the button again to keep the door open, only to come face to face with the very woman that had been on his mind the entire day.

"Oh- hi." He stuttered on his words, a flush creeping up his neck.

Her lips curved up in greeting but it didn't reach her eyes. "Hey."

He pressed the ground floor and stayed immobile. They were both going downstairs.

"Rough day?" Namjoon asked, wanting to hear her voice more.

She nodded. "You wouldn't believe." She wearily said.

Swallowing everything that had been holding him back, he urged himself to take a step towards her. "Try me."

They both reached the bottom floor and got out of the elevator one after the other.

"You really want to know about how bad my day has been?" She halfheartedly teased.

Although his heart was pounding, he forced his voice to stay leveled. "I would love to. I mean, after having to listen to all that classical music that you blast every day, that's really the least you could do."

A genuine smile pasted itself onto her face at that. Namjoon felt proud, he was the cause of that jaw dropping, beautiful smile.

"Do you want to go to that cafè down the street or something? They have the best lemon crinkles." She pointed in front of her at the shop. And it was her asking him out and not exactly the way that he imagined everything to go. But nevertheless, he was getting the opportunity to spend time with her and he couldn't be any more happier.

"That sounds perfect."
