JUNGKOOK CAME PRETTY DAMN close to the perfect man in the world for her. It was a shame that nobody knew that they were dating. And the reason seemed ridiculous but it was there. It was just pure stubbornness and pride from the both of them. For the longest time, Jungkook and her had been friends. So many people had thought that they were dating and that they had feelings for each other. It used to be platonic until the last month where they let their feelings get the better of them.

They were scared that the friendship that had been carefully built up in the course of years turned into something else completely different in the span of a month.

Pretending wasn't so hard. But at times like these, where Jungkook was coming over to her house for a science project and the first thing that he did when she opened the door was lean in for a kiss, it became pretty difficult. She turned her head so that his lips met her cheek instead. She didn't want her family to know that Jungkook was her boyfriend this way. She always had an idea of introducing her boyfriend properly to her family.

"Oh! I'm sorry." Jungkook apologized with wide eyes. The both of them turned around to see if her parents were anywhere to seen, visibly relaxing when they were both in the kitchen.

She leads him into the living room, where he dropped his schoolbag. He follows behind her with a smile fixed over his features making him this much harder to resist.

"Jungkook, we're here to do a science project, okay? Remember that. We're not going to be making out anytime soon so get that idea out of your head." She mumbled when she made sure that her mother was far away.

He sits down on the carpeted floor as she gathers her books. "I think it's you who needs to control themselves. Wouldn't blame you though." He cockily smirks making a smile curve the corners of her lips.

"Lots of talk coming from someone who tried to kiss me on the doorway."

"Shut up."

"Make me."

"I would if we go upstairs?" He wiggles his eyebrows suggestively but straightens up when he sees her mother passing by.

The shift in his attitude is laughable. "Hello, ma'am. How are you doing?" She knew that he was always polite to his elders in the years that they had known each other. Her mother stopped to turn to them with a small smile.

"I'm well, Jungkook. And you?"

"I'm doing fine." He returns the polite smile.

She notices the mess of books on the floor and turns to her daughter with a twinkle in her eyes. "You're doing a project?"

"Yes, mom."

She chuckles lightly before walking out of their sight, saying, "I see. Don't get too distracted with your boyfriend, sweetheart."

When she's out of sight, Jeon Jungkook turns to his girlfriend with a sigh.

"I think she knows."
