JIMIN THOUGHT HE WAS okay. Actually, he knew he was okay. For a while, he was sad and then life picked up where he lost it and for a while, everything seemed to look up. He was truly fine and he wasn't lying to himself or to anybody else. He really was. There were moments where he would feel that he wasn't but he was loved and he loved in return. That was enough.

But he wasn't ready to see her again. He knew that he couldn't avoid her for the rest of his life but he sure as hell wished that he didn't have to see her. Here she was, looking as beautiful as ever and adorning the most wonderful smile.

His feelings didn't just brush through him, it was as if he was running through a six story building that was on fire only to jump down into an ice cold sea.

Her gaze, after what seemed only like mere moments, fell to him. And the both of them were frozen, staring at each other with disbelief.

Jimin hadn't witnessed many time stopping moments in his life other than now. It was as if everything around them ceased to exist and it was only the two of them and the love that once used to burn so brightly.

The moments that they had shared began to play in the space between them. Jimin remembered the indoor dates that they would have. He remembered how she would hide her face into her neck when she was embarrassed or how she stroked his hair to help him go to sleep. He remembered how he slept to her and woke up to her. None of them were bad memories, he didn't recall having bad memories with her. Only with time, and with work and with everything except the two of them.

And he knew full well that he would never get to experience that again.

It was enough for him to rip his eyes away from her and turn his back, walking further away.

It was lovely and sad and beautiful all at once.
