THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS A fragile thing. Born out of practically nothing, the both of them had to fight endlessly to keep their love going. They were determined to not waste the efforts, not to make all that they had done for nothing.

At times like these, that was their only support. Times when he spend too much time in the studio and she spend too many nights alone. It would have been okay if Yoongi had reached out to her for help. He hadn't been producing anything new. All day, he just stared at the keyboard as if a melody would write itself.

She wished that he would just spend some more time with her. Maybe then, he would get some inspiration for a new song. But Yoongi was stubborn and he didn't like to admit when he was wrong. Even when they began dating, almost everybody thought that they wouldn't last. And so to spite them, he strengthened the relationship. He made her fall in love with him but it was night like today that made her doubt whether her feelings were reciprocated.

"Perhaps not." She sighed as she cuddled deeper into the bed. The smell of him was on the sheets. His clothes were strewn on the floor which she would have to clear up when morning comes.

Another sigh left her as she threw the covers off her body and she turned on the lights. She couldn't sleep. It was then that Yoongi entered their home, shoulders drooping after another unproductive day.

"It's late. You didn't have to wait up for me." He mutters when he sees her standing in the living room.

She doesn't say anything. Just stares at him. Suddenly, she doesn't know who he is anymore. Is he the same man that she fell in love with? She doesn't know. But what she does know is that she didn't want to hold onto a relationship that was crumbling. She had to let go.

"Yoongi, do you love me?" She asks.

He threw his head back, mirroring her sigh. He knew this conversation was coming sooner or later. "Of course I love you. Why would I be with you if I didn't love you?"

"Because you are a stubborn person, Min Yoongi. You don't like people telling you that you can't do it so you do it just to spite them. That's what this relationship is, isn't it?" She laughed, trying to hold back the tears.

He became quiet. She had hit the nail right on the head. "Isn't it?" She repeated, wanting her question to be heard.

"I do love you. I'm just- I don't know."

"Tired?" She offered. "You're tired." She closed her eyes and heaved in a deep breath when he nodded slowly.

"That's okay, Yoongi. So am I. I don't want to hold you back in any way and I don't want to be sad anymore. Let's end this." She couldn't believe that the words were actually coming out of her mouth. But once they were out, the damage was done.

Yoongi stared at her as if he'd never seen her before. "You want us to break up?"

"You don't want us anymore. And I'm tired of it." She blurted out turning around to go back into the bedroom.

Before she closed the door, she turned around and met his gaze. "I hope you finish that song that you've been working on for months on end now. I bet it's going to be beautiful."

"Sleep on the couch for tonight." She added before closing the door leaving him with brand new songs that would be created the coming morning. She leaned her back against the locked door and that's when her facade cracked.
