Making it to class wasn't actually a problem for me this time. I thought I was going to be late but I was wrong. Oh well, at least it gave me an excuse to not talk to anyone.
I was currently in my 4th period. I was excited because lunch was next. Who wasn't excited about lunch? Well only people who have to eat school food aren't excited about lunch. But, my mother packed my lunch everyday with a sandwich, Doritos, and a cherry coke.
"Foley, Hannah was a great girl and we all miss her but you need to pay attention." I heard the teacher say right when i snapped out of my thoughts. Yeah, because Justin totally missed Hannah. He was the first one on the tapes so he was where it all started. "Yeah she sure was a great girl." He rolled his eyes. I shook my head. I wasn't a saint myself.
The teacher went on with her lesson as I waited... well most of us waited for the lunch bell to ring.
It eventually did and I hurried out of the classroom to make sure my table didn't get taken. I was stopped by Jess. I groaned. "Can I help you?" I bit my lip nervously. I needed that spot. "I was just wondering if you were coming to that party on Friday." She asked raising an eyebrow probably questioning my bad mood. "Uh yeah, I'll think about it. Gotta go. Bye." I ran towards the lunch room past her just to find that my table was occupied by only one person. Still, one person I didn't want to sit with.
"Why are you sitting at my table?" I crossed my arms. He looked up at me with those piercing eyes and smiled his stupid pearly white smile. "Oh sorry Brooke. All the other tables were taken." The boy said. I rolled my eyes and sat down. "Well since I have to suffer through lunch with you.. at least tell me your name." I pulled my lunch out of its bag.
