I walked out of the hospital room I was in and told my parents I would meet them at home. I had a black cast on and I was in a ton of pain. I saw Jeff sitting in a chair waiting for me. I smiled gently and walked over to him as he stood up.
"You waited?" I blushed biting my lip gently looking down.
"Of course. I wanted to make sure you were okay. You know that I'm always here for you right?" He asked. I nodded. "Yea, thank you for that." I told him and kissed his cheek.
He smiled gently and walked out of the hospital with me. "Do you want to hang out right now?" Jeff asked. I nodded. "Yeah, where are we going to go or what are we going to do?" I asked curiously.
"Well, I know this lake.. we can go there and go swimming or just hang out." He said. "I don't have a bathing suit." I told him biting my lip. "Plus, I don't really wanna swim with this thing on." I told him. He nodded. "Okay. Well, we can go out there and just lay on the hood of my car or just sit and talk. It always calms me down." He smiled widely. I giggled.
"Okay, fine." I told him and we walked out to his car.
On our way to the lake, Jeff spoke up after moments of silence.
"You know you're not alone right? I'm always here for you." He reminded me. I nodded smiling. "Thank you. You're too good to be friends with me honestly." I told him.
"Well, I'm honored to be your friend."
