Jeff sighed as he sat beside me at the lunch table after he got his lunch. "History is kicking my ass." He told Clay and I. "That's why I'm here." Clay chuckled. Jeff groaned. "Why do I need to know about history to get a job?" Jeff rolled his eyes. "Most of the stuff we learn in school is useless." Jeff sighed.
I nodded shrugging. "Amen to that." I said as Jeff and I high five each other. "I want ice cream so I'm going to get some after school." I told them. "Clay? Jeff? Would you guys like to come." I asked. "I have tapes to listen to." Clay said. I nodded. "Yeah sure. I'll come. I'd love to hang out with you." Jeff said.
I nodded. "Meet me at the dairy shack after school." I told Jeff. "Will do." He grinned. I had jeff back as a friend and I didn't not want to ruin that.
I decided to finish my lunch early and I walked out to the court yard needing some fresh air. I walked over to Alex seeing he was alone. I haven't talked to him in a while.
"Hey, A." I smiled gently. Alex sniffled. Was he crying? "Oh uh hey Brooke." He said wiping his eyes. "Why were you crying alex?" I asked. "I wasn't.." Alex rolled his eyes. He was a bad liar. "We were friends once remember? We used to tell each other mostly everything." I mumbled looking down and then back up to look around. Alex sighed. "I can't believe that Hannah's actually gone and it's all of our faults." Alex frowned. I pulled him in for a hug because his eyes started to water.
"I miss being friends with you, Brooke. You were one of the best." Alex sniffled.
