A Violet Flame

Episode 27

Sadao quickly bolted out of class, racing down the hallway. He couldn't contain his excitement to see Rin.

Unfortunately, he wasn't paying much attention to his surroundings and collided with the body of another running individual.

As the two crashed onto the floor, a loud shriek escaped the lips of the girl.

Sadao sat up quickly, "Sorry!" he shouted, moving his hands from her chest and backing away, his face bright red. Blinking, his face contorted into one of horror when the girl sat up revealing herself to be Layla.

"Owie," She whispered, rubbing her head. "Ah, Satan!" She shouted, standing up.

Sadao was shaking and his arms were wrapped around himself. "I didn't mean it!" He shouted, getting on his hands and knees and furiously bowing. "Please don't tell your father!!"

"...I won't,"

"Thank you," he said, breathing a sigh of relief. As he stood up he muttered, "Sebastian would kill me."

"Speaking of Daddy, he sent me here to find you," Layla stated.

"He did?"

"Yes. You see, he doesn't know if he'll be able to make it to Rin's Promotion to king and-"

"Agh! Rin's Promotion to king!" Sadao yelled suddenly, his eyes widening.
"I completely forgot!" 

Layla turned her head and blinked in confusion, "You...forgot?"

"Curses! Rin's gotta get married before then! Agh that damn Lucifer! I gotta break them up! Layla! You gotta help me!"

As Layla blinked at the sudden demand of Sadao, he placed his hands on her shoulder and locked eyes with her in the most serious stare down.

"Help me break them up," he repeated.

"Why? They're such a cute couple," She responded.

"As your current Demon king I demand your assistance! Lucifer shall not become Queen!"

"Aren't you overreacting? I mean, its not that bad, just-"

"It is bad! Because of that stupid Lucifer, Rin won't even look at me! He treats me like a stranger! He's suppose to love me!"

Sadao broke away crying and wiped away his tears on his sleeve.

Watching him Layla muttered, "What a baby," before saying loudly, "Fine, I'll help you but only because you're  Satan."

Instantly, Sadao stood with a devious look, his tears gone and replaced with a smirk, "Awesome," he responded.
