"Are you sure keeping Satan and his accomplice here at the school is a good idea?" Yukio inquired.

Mephesto shrugged and continued to slurp the  noodles from his instant cup of ramen. "Father has no idea this school is training exorcists. He's still new to Assiah after all. As long as he's preoccupied with you and Rin there shouldn't be an issue."

"So you're using us as a distraction?"

"There's a war going on in Gehenna right now and father is weak. Now, don't get me wrong I don't want him dead but, this is a good opportunity to kill him. Especially since he's surrounded by exorcists."

"You're right. I understand your reasoning, now if you'll excuse me," Yukio exited Mephesto's office and headed to his dorm room.

With his hand hovering above the doorknob he heard a laugh coming from inside. Entering, he was surprised to find Rin lying on his bed and talking on the phone. Spotting Yukio, Rin said a quick- "I gotta go, I'll call you back later,"-before hanging up and sitting upright.

"Who was that?" Yukio inquired, placing his items down.

"Its not someone you would know," Rin answered nonchalant.

"You've been acting strange lately," Yukio commented, observing him closely.

Rin looked away, his face written with guilt but didn't saying anything in response.

With a sigh Yukio muttered, "Never mind."

Rin's phone beeped and he checked his phone. A smile appeared on his lips and he stood up, "I'm spending the night at a friends house, i'll be back in the morning."

Yukio watched Rin grab his sword and a prepacked bag and leave the dorm.

No matter how he looked at it, there was something suspicious about Rin's attitude but Yukio couldn't figure out what.

Not much time passed before the bedroom door opened and a mess of dark hair popped in. "Is Rin here?"

"No, he's not. He's with a friend," Yukio responded, not bothering to look up from his paper.

"Oh. Well...wanna hang out with me? I want to get to know you guys better since I haven't been  around much."

Yukio paused and looked at Sadao's face. He wore a sincere look as he placed his hands in his pockets, his eyes searching Yukio's face for any sign of a yes. The look was strikingly similar to how Rin would look at him when he wanted something and Yukio found it hard to say no. With a heavy sigh he muttered, "I suppose so."
