Keith began to explain his findings on Blue's energy. Everyone introduced themselves to Shiro, shaking his hand one by one. Lance had hesitated, as expected, but I'm glad to know that they'll become great friends in the future. Shiro stopped at me, almost giving me a confused look, as if he had seen me before, which to be honest, he has. Back when he and the men of the Holt family were launching off to go to Kerberos. Katie and I were saying our goodbyes to Mr. Holt and Matt when Shiro came up to us as well. I may have been young, but I still look pretty much the same.
But Shiro shook off the feeling and held out his hand for me to shake it. I smiled warmly at the black paladin.
"Kiona. Very nice to see you," I stated formally, giving him a slight nod as I shook his hand firmly. He nodded and smiled back, doing the same for me as well.
As we rode off to the blue lion's location, I may have borrowed Katie's picture of her and Matt when he was launching off for the Kerberos mission. I giggle at how many times I had to redo that picture to get it just right. I quietly placed the picture back in Pidge's bag before she would notice. We had safely arrived at the blue lion's cavern, everyone staring at the beautiful markings. I couldn't help but stare at the one of the two people next to the blue lion. It always had caught my eye during the visions, I wanted to know more about it, but before I could touch it and study the carvings, they lit up and we were all falling down towards the blue lion. I screamed, in fear for my life thanks to my wonderful fear of falling.
I was right behind Shiro. I covered my eyes and tried to not to cry as we fell. I was hyperventilating, freaking out and wondering when we were going to hit the ground. I heard as Lance hit, then Shiro, meaning I was next. I braced myself, but I felt a tug on the back of my jacket and a tight embrace around me. I didn't care who in the sandy hill it was, I was just glad someone grabbed me so I could calm a bit down before we fell.
The person and I landed with a thud. Groaning I looked up and saw Keith hugging me. Thank the stars, I thought, laying back down on his chest as I awaited Hunk's giant splash to drench me in water. And -WOOSH - there it was.
I rolled of Keith and whispered, "Thanks, Keith..," and shook off some water as I began to stand up shakily. I looked around at my friends and saw they were all dry. With hope I looked at myself, but I was still soaking wet. I glared down at my favorite now soaking wet dress and jacket. I glared up as I heard them all talking about and staring at the blue lion in awe. I rung out my annoyingly long hair and ran up to the forcefield. Maybe, just maybe, I thought touching the forcefield. I felt it chuff slightly as my fingertips glazed the surface of the beautiful cage. But then I heard Lance knock on the illuminating field and the ground begins to shake. All of our hair flying up due to the weird gravitational pull the lion is creating. I look around and see everyone amazed at the vision they're seeing if Voltron. I smile and try to keep my balance. Everyone comes back into focus and are all in awe. I look down at myself. Hey! My clothes are dry! I shouted through my thoughts. I smiled brightly and looked back at the blue lion. And wow, Blue was even more amazing in real life!
When everyone finished sharing their ideas and thoughts, Blue leaned down and opened her mouth for us to climb on in. Lance being Lance, smirked and strutted up the 'cat walk'. I rolled my eyes smiling and jogged up as the the others all went inside. I paused as I looked at Blue.
I placed my hand gently on her jaw, "Thank you, Blue. Keep Lance safe, okay?" I asked her softly. I earned a soft pur in return, making me smile as I trotted inside. I ran my hands against the walls, enjoying and savoring the time I get to have inside the blue lion.
When I arrived behind the group everyone seemed to be looking around. Katie, of course, was in shock at all the amazing technology, Lance was smirking like, well, Lance.
