I woke up to the full moon blinding me. The party!! I totally spaced! I snickered at my non-intentional pun. I looked over at my dozing paladin bestie. I smiled, gazing at her adorableness.

I sighed,"Katie. Ooooh Katie~~" nothing. "Kate, Katie, kater kat, pidggge, pidgeroniiii~" she stirred and waved my away, rolling on her side. I frowned. "Hmmmmm," I began to think. Then, a lightbulb came.

I laid back down next to her so our noses were touching. "Katie~" I cooed. She stirred, yet she was smiling. Awe!! How cute is she! I ever so slightly moved my face from hers. Hmmmmmmm.... Aha~ I smirked Lance's signature smirk. I then proceeded with my plan; I lightly kissed her nose.

Her eyes fluttered open, her eyelashes tickling my face. I giggled at her face that quickly grew red. The giggles turned into a stifled uproar of laughter.. And snorting. She sat up and turned away, putting her glasses back on.

My obnoxious laugh finally died down. I stood up and held out my hand to the small bean. "C'mon girly, we got a party to catch," I told her with a slight laugh.

She smiled and rolled her eyes, taking my hand. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and I spend off, dragging her along with me.

"Hoorah!!" We entered to the Arusians cheering at the Princesse's speech.

"You-you can let go now," Katie told me.

"Oh my stars.. Sorry," I said in embarrassment, pulling my hand away.

I watched from a distance as Keith and Lance were cutely doing the "Voltron Cheer" thing. I laughed as Lance sipped his drink in defeat, and almost throwing up as well.

I sat in the planetarium, staring at the stars, knowing that Lance and Coran would be there soon. I'm sorry Lance... And rover...

"Hey..," Lance greeted solemnly.

"Hey-"

"Mind if I join you?" Coran interrupted.

"How far from Earth do you think we are, Coran?" Lance asked our amazing Altean friend.

"Let's take a look. Earth is over here," he says, beginning to scroll through the universe. "And we're all... The way over..."

"You ever notice how far the planets are from each other, Coran?" Lance asked, his eyebrows still furrowed with sadness.

"Yes. Haven't you been paying attention?" Coran asks as he continues to scroll.

"Yeah, but I mean, like, there really, really far away," Lance says, getting up and standing next to Coran. "Like, say, Earth. It's so far, I can't even see it. The... The blue oceans, the white clouds, green grass... I... I can't see any of it." Lance looks down in sadness.

"You miss Earth. I understand. I miss Altea," Coran empathizes, placing a hand on lance's back.

"I miss earth too Lance..." I muttered, hoping maybe he'd hear.

"I know were supposed to be brave paladins and Defenders of the Universe or whatever, but, honestly, I just want to go home," Lance confessed.

"If I could go home, I would," Coran said.

"I miss rain and splashing in puddles," Lance laughed, causing me to break into smile.

"Rain?" The red head asked.

"Yeah. It's water that falls from the sky," Lance explains.

"Oh, we had that in Altea. Only, it wasn't water, more like rocks. Razor-sharp and boiling-hot. Oh, they could knock a hole right in your head," Coran laughed at the memory.

"Sounds fun," Lance tried to sound enthusiastic. I could almost see the sarcasm dripping from his mouth.

"Yeah," Coran sighed.

I went up to my blue paladin friend and leaned my head against his shoulder, knowing I wouldn't be able to be near a conscious Lance for a while. I savored it.

Coran, Lance, and I began to head out the the door when 'Rover' flew in passing us. My gut was filled with guilt.

"Hey, Rover," Lance greeted, waving to the pyramid shaped drone. The beeping became louder and Lance hesitated. "Wait. Where's Pidge?" He looked back at the robot as it went to the balmaran crystal and turned red. The brunette gasped in realization. "Coran, Kiona, look out!" He shouted before tackling Coran and accidentally only barely pushed me forward.

Everything went black.
