We had gotten all the paladins back and Shiro was recovering in a healing pod, but he seemed to be in pain a bit...
"Is he okay," Hunk asks softly.
"Sometimes, the healing process can cause involuntary brainwave reactions," Allura explains.
"He looks like he's having a bad dream," Hunk comments.
"He just got blasted by space which and mauled by giant lizards. What dream could be worse than that?" Keith says.
Having been sucked into that dream multiple times throughout my years, it's bad... but at least he was remembering being saved. He's remembering Ulaz.
Meanwhile, Prorok was being turned into another one of Haggar's monster machines. Seeing in so much pain always made tears well up in my eyes, even if he was a cruel galra.
When Shiro wakes up he has Katie look for the coordinates that Ulaz had stored in his arm, but-
"I'm not finding any coordinates in here. Are you sure this wasn't just a dream?" Katie asks Shiro.
He lets out a quick frustrated breath. "I'm positive. Someone helped me escape," he said.
"And he was Galra?" Allura asked, unable to really wrap her head around it.
"Yes," Shiro replied.
"You know you cannot trust them," she growls.
"Your father must have trusted them once. Zarkon was the original Black Paladin, wasn't he?" Shiro snapped at the princess.
"That was a long time ago," Allura replies.
"Wait, what?" Lance asks, surprised af.
"Didn't you see how he stole the Black Lion right out under from Shiro? Or that he could do all that cool stuff with his bayard? Shiro's bayard? You know, the black one?" Keith tells us.
"Why didn't you just tell us the truth about Zarkon?" Shiro asks, frustrated with Allura.
"I wanted to protect you from the dark history of the paladins so that you would have a chance to bond with your lions on your own. You are the Black Paladin now, not Zarkon," Allura says.
"Yeah, well, the Black Lion may have a different take on the matter," Shiro adds.
"Wait a second. I think I see it now," Pidge interrupts. "Some repeating numbers in all this Galra code. Let me extract it," she says, pulling what she is talking about up onto the big screen. "They are coordinates! They lead here: the Thaldycon system."
"Then, that's where we're headed," Shiro states.
"Shiro, are you sure you can trust this?" Keith asks, "I mean, after all the Galra have done to you— They— They took your arm."
"It's worth the risk. Someone helped me escape. If we can locate some allies in our fight against Zarkon, especially ones from his own side, we might just find a way to take him down," Shiro says.
"We can check the location, but I do not like this. The Galra are not to be trusted," Allura says. God do I hate when she discriminates them like that. It's not fair to Keith or Galra who are actually good.
We wormhole to the coordinates; the Thaldycon system.
"Well, this is it. No sign of any activity at all, living or otherwise," Coran explains.
"Can we get in there to take a closer look?" Shiro asks.
"I don't want to bring the Castle any closer. Those xanthorium chunks contain highly unstable nitrate salts. Even bumping one of them can blow us straight to Wozblay," Coran tells us.
