The black paladin and I walked in to find an anxious Pidge, tapping her left foot as she sat impatiently on the stairs.

"You're as anxious as me," Shiro said as we entered.

"These aliens we saved know something about my family. They have to!" She said.

"I hope so. "I nodded in agreement, although the dramatic irony, to me, was annoyingly palpable.

"They recognized you, didn't they? They called you 'Champion.' What does that even mean?" She questioned.

"I don't know. I can't remember very much from that time. But the way those guys looked at me when we freed them... I don't know if I want to find out," he confessed.

Then the pods began to open.

"Uh?" Pidge said in a surprised tone, standing up.

The alien sighed as he awoke from his deep, healing, sleep.

Meanwhile, Hunk had finished his amazing cooking and the Paladins were excited. Lance and Keoth didn't hesitate to stuff it in their mouths.

"They like the paladin lunch!" Allura chuckled.

Coran, obviously annoyed, pouted, crossing his arms and turning away. "I don't want to talk about it."

The alarms began to blare. Quiznaaaack. I rolled my eyes and slicked my hair back into a ponytail. But then I remembered that it was just the cute little alien guy and smiled. I did really want to meet him, but I know Katie needed me. I groaned in protest of my weakness against cute aliens, well, cute things in general.

"So, how long were you held captive by Zarkon?" Pidge asked an alien as she handed him a cup.

"Some for years. Decades, maybe. It's hard to tell. Time becomes a blur," he began as he sipping at his cup of green liquid. My eyebrows furrowed in empathy.

"Then you must have been there when my dad and brother arrived," Katie assumed. "Sam and Matt Holt?"

"I never knew their names, but I certainly remember the other two Earthlings to get arrived with Champion," the alien said as he looked over at Shiro.

"'Champion.' Why do you keep calling me that?" Shiro asked, puzzled.

"You really don't remember? Unbelievable! You were a legendary gladiator, undefeated in the ring. If defeated an infamous Galra gladiator known as Myzax. That was the day you earned the name 'Champion'," he informed. "I was there, as was the young Earthling," he said before we went into a flashback. "We were all prisoners, forced to fight for the entertainment if Zarkon. That day, we are set to fight Myzax, a bike beast many thought could never be defeated. Slaughter awaited is all. This 'Matt' was the first of us sent to fight. But the Galra had other plans," he told. Shiro 'attacked Matt, sending him to the ground. "You were so thirsty for blood, you injured your fellow Earthling."

Pidge became wide eyed. Uh oh. "You attacked my brother? Why?" She yelled.

"No, it can't be true," Shiro hoped.

"I was there. We all were," the alien spoke. Pidge looked severely disappointed.

"After my brother was injured, where was he taken?" She tried to avoid he cursing thoughts of Shiro.

"I know not."

"I don't believe it. There's got to be more to the story. I couldn't have hurt my friend," Shiro protested. "Wait. The ship we were held captive on crash-landed on this planet. They'll have logs of prisoners, some information," Shiro said, walking out with hope.
