I lifted my head weakly from the edge of the table. Another night filled with nightmares of Dante attacking me, except the difference in my dreams was that his eyes were always purple now. I shook my head as I felt the common feeling bubble in my stomach.

I pushed myself up and forced my feet toward the bathroom and knelt in front of the toilet just in time. I had felt nothing like the strong Queen that I needed to be for the past month. The nightmares grew longer and nausea in the morning grew stronger.

Once I felt relief from the nauseated feeling, I stood once again and found my way to the softness of my bed. I looked up and smiled at the sunshine that draped itself through the windows. I had decided that the room Dante had put me in when I first came needed to be my room. I loved the sunshine too much to not have it.

I felt a wave of nausea and weakness hit me again and I grasped my phone in my hand as I made my way back to the bathroom again.

After I emptied the rest of what was on my stomach, I dialed the first number that I saw on the screen. Noveah answered in one ring and I breathed against the phone. "Send Nina to my room, please. I need her help. I don't feel well."

He agreed and said he would send Gandit as well, and within a few moments, the door to my room opened and I saw the two step around the corner and into the bathroom.

I smiled and greeted them as best I could. "I'm sure it's nothing serious, I just didn't have the strength to make it back into the room from here."

Nina nodded, moved around behind me and lifted me up and guided me into the room. As Gandit followed behind us, he giggled softly.

Nina turned around once I was sitting on the bench in front of my bed and we both looked at the wise old man.

"You know what's wrong with her?"

He laughed a little louder than before. "Wrong? Well, why would ya think there's a thing wrong with her?"

She shook her head and looked back at me as we both waited for his explanation.

"Nothing ales you, Queen of Queens." He stepped closer and smiled as he placed one hand gently against my stomach. "The little one is strong and healthy." He stepped back as my mouth dropped open and Nina lifted her hand to her mouth. He laughed again and shook his head. "A boy, it is. I'm certain of it." He reached into his pocket and lifted out a plastic package that had some sort of wafer in it. "Here, Milady. Eat this. You'll be better in no time a'tall."

I lifted my hand and grasped the object and pulled it free from the wrap. I ate it as he said as the old man exited the room. Nina had yet to speak and I lifted my gaze to her. She had tears in her eyes and she appeared to be happy, but sad as well.

"Penny for your thoughts, Nina?"

She smiled slightly. "I...I just was thinking that if only he had known. If he had just known that you were...that you are...maybe he...he wouldn't have..." She seemed to be lost with words and I smiled up at my friend.

"Maybe he wouldn't have, but we can't dwell on maybes and what ifs. Me being pregnant changes nothing now." I blinked back the image I had seen in my dream for the past month. I didn't want to tell her yet. Not when we had just heard this news. I smiled and lifted my hand to my stomach. "Except the fact that maybe the news might bring the pack some much-needed joy." I looked up at her and allowed my smile to spread even further. "I'm going to get dressed. Go tell Noveah to find Xavon and tell him to gather everyone in the front of the estate because their Luna has an announcement to make."

As I pulled on a soft white chiffon Greek style inspired dress and lifted the garment down and over my head, I thought of the little baby inside my stomach. The brightness of knowing I had him caressed me and as I smoothed the fabric down, I couldn't move the smile from my face if I had wanted to.
