I shivered as I started to wake up and realized that Amari was not in the bed beside me. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and stood from the bed as I rubbed my stomach. I couldn't wait until I would have my little baby boy in my arms. Eleric had sent his name to me in a dream. His name would be Aeron. I held my hand against my stomach as I slipped my silk robe on over my lace gown and tied it around me.

I stepped out to the balcony and looked out across the ocean. Such beauty and peace seemed to reside in that water until a great distance out. The local human people believed that the ancient Greek mythology had a lot to do with it, but I knew why. It was Donovan.

Even though he had given his word, he would not rest until he had me. I sighed and stepped back inside the room. The invitation that was sent for me caught my attention and I picked it up and looked at it.

Dante Knight and Melanie Kovington were the names of the happy couple. My Dante. I clenched the invitation in my hand until it felt as if the paper was starting to burn. The immense anger I felt at that moment was consuming and I pulled it forth. I let it overtake all of my other emotions as I clenched the letter tighter in my hands. Donovan really thought he would sway me by taking Dante away from me.

Suddenly, I felt hands slide around my waist and I spun around as a loud growl erupted from my chest and the paper turned to a ball of fire.

"So angry, my Queen. I had no idea you were capable of such magic as this." He lifted my hand and pulled my fingers apart so that the simmering paper fell from my hands onto the marble table. "Should I calm you or do you require different services from me presently?"

I shook my head as I spun around and stalked to the window. "Donovan is only using Dante to get to me. The fool wraith meant none of his promises to Dante." I spun back around to face Amari. "We must arrive early enough so that I can find Dante and tell him."

Amari bowed his head and took a deep breath. "My Queen, I mean no disrespect but Dante made his decision. He may have been weak, but never stupid. That was and is something that can never be used to describe any member of the Knight family." He stepped closer to me as I stared at him. "I don't know why he chose to do what he did..." He paused and looked up into my eyes with a sincere gaze and I sucked in a sharp breath at what I saw there. "...but I am glad he did. I would not have been able to have the opportunity to touch you and caress your sweet, smooth skin. I would have missed the chance to taste what I now crave.

He reached up and pulled me close to him by my hips. "I would not have been able to know what it feels like to be this close to you and be inside of you." As he spoke he untied my robe and slid his hands underneath and started to caress my skin just underneath my arms. "Now I have an addiction to you, my Queen. An addiction that no other woman can soothe."

I took a deep breath and cleared my mind so that I could ask him the question that had been bothering me. "And what of your mate, Amari? If you are to be mine, completely mine, what would that mean for her? Is she to be tossed away like Dante tossed me away?"

My question seemed to have halted his actions and he pulled away from me abruptly.

When he turned away from me, I knew what he would tell me.

"Ke'ala was her name. She was remarkable. She would have loved you, my Queen. She always spoke of a greater power that would come to our land and vanquish any idea of Corrina as a Luna." He paused and turned around to face me once more and bowed his head. "It is not easy to touch another and not think of her. Until now I never considered it." He stepped close again and pulled me against him. "My hands are not my own unless you are commanding them, my Queen. I long to give you everything he is not here to give you anymore." As he said this, he lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist and kissed his neck. "I don't want you to give me what you think he would have, Amari. I want you to give me you."
