When I was thirteen, I had an obsession with Spiderman, Batman, Superman- well I had an obsession with all of the great superheroes that had started to flood the cartoon market of the nineties. Like my idols, I too had a secret.  Void of the leotards and capes, my costume came in the form of a gangly, awkward young wolf that I could shift into. I didn't have to bitten by a wolf for this transformation to take place, like Peter and the spider. I was born to be this way.

I thought I was awesome; indestructible – just like them.

I thought wrong.

It is a common practice that when one Alpha challengers another, the defeated wolf can either be banished into exile from the pack lands or be put to death if he or she refuses to go. Braydon Winters father, couldn't bring himself to leave the lands were his mate was buried and so once the fight was lost – welcomed the chance to be returned to her side.

Once the old Alpha was defeated, his now orphaned son became burdened with the same decision to make; stay and die or run.

He ran.

Angry and hurt his Father would leave him to fend for himself, scared and alone with no pack to take care of him – Braydon kept running until his wolf told him to stop and slowly his new life began.

Sooner or later, life was bound to catch up with Braydon, but will the human within the wolf costume be able to handle it? Especially once he comes across Miranda Wright and his world gets turned upside down.
