I woke to shouts coming from the other room. It was voices I had heard all before, but I was surprised to see that it was 4 a.m. I yawned, getting out of bed to see what the commotion was. I opened my bedroom door to see a half-dressed Kakashi at the front door, dealing with a pissed-off Sakura and Naruto.

"Seriously, you cannot be serious!" Sakura snapped. Naruto folded his arm and nodded in agreement.

"She isn't even a ninja or anything; why is she going?" Naruto said it in disbelief. I hid in the hallway, tiredly listening to them.

Kakashi groaned, "It was a direct order from Hokage; trust me, I don't like it either. If it was anything other than an escort mission, I would have said absolutely not." His voice was annoyed but tired.

He started pushing them out the door. "If you don't mind, I have to sleep, and so do you." He snapped as he slammed the door. He tiredly slumped against the door, not moving.

I rubbed my eyes, walking over to him. "Come on..." I whispered and gently pulled him toward his room. He let me pull him along. I waited as he climbed into bed and smiled tiredly as he snuggled into the covers. He tore his mask off, throwing it on the floor.

I was shocked... My tiredness vanished as I was bluntly facing a maskless Kakashi. My mouth fell open. My heart was far less still than I was. It picked up speed. His sleeping face was stunning; he was very handsome, I realized.

His eyes popped open, maybe because he realized what he had done. Maybe from my pounding heart? I turned without thinking, breathing, or saying a word, and left the room. I closed the door silently and went to my room. I couldn't believe how shocked I was. I mean, I was just not ready for it.

I lay in bed, not hearing him move or the silence. It took a while, but eventually I was able to drift off to sleep. To no surprise, I dreamed of his handsome face.

The next morning, I sat up in bed as the heat seeped into the room. It was a bright, sunny day now, and I felt much better as I climbed out of bed for the second time. I looked at the time, and yeah, it's 8:30. Better get Kakashi up. I slowly got out of bed and knocked on his door. I went and brushed my teeth, used the bathroom, showered and everything, put my things in a small bag, and tossed them on my bed.

I listened, hearing only silence. He hadn't gotten up. I walked back to his room, confused, and pushed his door open. I walked into his room, finding him fast asleep and... maskless. My face heated up, so it wasn't a dream.

I reached out and shook him violently. "Wake up. It's 8:30." I said it, trying to wake him up.

He groaned and rolled over and away from me. He was ignoring me. I stared at him, shocked. He was ignoring me. I hopped onto his bed and went to flop over him to wake him up, which seemed like a funny idea in my head.

Suddenly I was underneath Kakashi, pinned, "very smart jump into a vampire's bed." He said it in a sleepy voice.

My pulse picked up fast, hammering at my best. My face heated up. "K-K-K-" I stuttered so hard I couldn't even speak.

He groaned and collapsed on me, resting his head on my chest and against my heart. "Your heart..." He purred it, sweetly. I tried to wiggle free from his iron grasp; his head snapped up, and he stared into my eye lazily. I stopped feeling frozen in place. Something... my mind just buzzed silently. I didn't notice too much when his head dropped back down; he breathed deeply, obviously going back to sleep.

My stomach twisted, and I felt Kakashi's head resting against my chest and his arms wrapped around me. Suddenly I was sleepy—very sleepy. "Wake up," I said in a tired voice. My eyes are so heavy. My eyes slide closed. I couldn't even fight it...
