Ethan went out to get my ring at the store. I just stayed home because I didn't feel like going. I was just laying in bed when Grayson come running in.
"Kat your mother is here."
"Wait what. The queen."
"Yes. She wants to talk to you."
"I'm not talking to that monster. She'll hurt my children and that's not happening."
"Trust me I don't want her to lay a finger on you. But she gave me stricked orders for you to talk to her."
"Gray please stay with me. No matter what she says."
"Of course Kat. If Ethan was here he would do the same."
"Text E and tell him that the queen is here."
"No he'll come running here without your ring."
"Gray please."
"Fine Kat. Now get up she's waiting outside."
I got out of bed and put on a sweater to cover my pajamas. Grayson never left my side. We walked downstairs and the queen was on the couch. She looked up at me and smiled.
"So twins," she said with a weird smile.
"Yes and you're not getting anywhere near them."
"Oh come on. I'm the grandmother."
"You're nothing to these babies."
"I'm still their queen."
"I don't care if you my queen, but you're certainly not these babies queen."
"Excuse me," she yelled.
"I don't give a shit if you think you're anything to my kids because you're not."
"Kathryn Layward you are exactly like your father."
"Well I'm lucky then."
"Kathryn."
"No don't Kathryn me. You're not my mother. My mother is home in Jersey."
"Then why aren't you with her."
"Because I left with Ethan. I don't want to hurt my family. You are currently not my family. Now please leave."
The door opened behind me.
"Kat are you okay. What's going on?" Ethan said as he walked in.
"Gray I thought you texted him."
"I was going to but you where doing pretty well with no one's help."
"Kat why is she here," Ethan walked over to me and pulled me behind him trying to protect me.
"She's leaving now."
"Kathryn you're just emotional because of the pregnancy. I'll be back when the babies are here," the queen said as she walked towards the door.
"No you won't."
"Yes I will and if you try and run I'll find you Kathryn."
"Leave... just get out."
The door opened and then closed.
"Why was she here," Ethan said as he turned around.
"I don't know. She was sitting on the couch and then I walked in and she heard the babies heartbeats. I yelled at her telling her that she's not the babies grandmother or their queen."
"If she does come back when I'm not her please call me I don't care if I'm doing something I'll run fast enough to get here so she can't even say a word."
"If it ever happens again I'll call you. I promise."
"Good," He looked down, "I got your ring love." He reached into the bag and took out a small black velvet box. He opened it up and it was the most beautiful ring I've ever seen.

"Not as beautiful as you baby."
"Shut up you loser."
"E hoe much did you spend on this," Grayson said.
"I can't say."
"Ethan please tell me this wasn't over 1,000 dollars," I said.
"Can't say babe."
"Fine I'll find out sooner or later."
Ethan just laughed then hugged me.
"Thank you E."
"For what."
"For being so amazing and I love you so much babe."
