Ethan's POV

"I feel like an idiot. This is all my fault," Kat yelled.

"No its not Kat. Come here," I held my arms open. She walked over and put her face in my chest.

"I'm so sorry Ethan."

"Don't be. I left it on the beach. Don't worry. I can explain to them that I didn't just turn you because i wanted to. I'll tell then you're my mate and that you were human, but it was your choice for me to do it."

"Ok. But please be careful if anything happens. I don't want you getting hurt."

"I won't."

"Well you never now. They do hurt people sometimes," Gray said.

"Grayson. Really," I said annoyed.

"Sorry." He walked way.

"Don't listen to him. He's just being a jerk. But trust me, I will be carfu-" the doorbell rang, "that might be them. Go see Gray and tell him to come out. You stay in our room. OK."

"Yeah. I love you."

She walked back to the rooms. I walked to the door. It was the head counsel. Three men and one woman. The queen. Crap. I opened the door and they just walked in without saying anything.

"Where's the new born," one of the men said.

"Look if you let me explain. You don't need to take her away."

"Why should we let you explain anything you broke the rules."

"Please. It's not what you think."

"Fine let him talk Alex," the queen said.

"Thank you my queen... ok so the reason why I turned her is because she's my mate."

"Impossible," Alex said.

"Well it's not," Grayson said.

"How is it not."

"Because the bond between these two are nothing like in seen in years. My mother said that it's true that Ethan and his girlfriend are indeed mates. It's strange to think of a vampire and a human being mates."

"He does have a point," the other man said.

"Shut up Louis," Alex said.

"No Louis is right. But please I want to see the girl," the queen said.

Kat walked out and came right over to me. I wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Hi I'm Kathryn," she held out her hand for the queen. I pulled it down. 

I leaned over, "Kat that's the queen. Don't hold your hand out bow."

"Oh my God I'm so sorry." She went down.

"No its ok sweetie. You didn't know," then queen said.

"No I'm really sorry. Ethan, " Kat hit my shoulder, "didn't tell me anything."

She laughed, "You two are cute."

I looked down at Kat and kissed her cheek. Kat smiled up at me. The queen has been looking at Kat since she stepped in the room

"Kathryn what is your last name?"

"Layward. Why?"

"Oh my God..."

"What," I said.

She stepped closer to Kat.

"Kathryn I know this is going to sound insane... but your my daughter."

"What? How is that possible," Kat said.

The queen turned around and mumbled something.

"What?"

"I can't say it."

I read her mind.

I can't say it. If I do she'll never think of her father the same way. And she would be deviated.

No way. Kat cannot know this.

"Okay mam. Are we finished here," Grayson said. 

"Yes we are. And Kathryn and Ethan. Good luck you two. Don't mess anything up. And maybe one day there will be another baby dolan," the queen said.

"Thank you and you never know," Kat said looking up at me.
