Nico is attention seeking brat who is just there because Rick needed goth guy

Nico is relevant to plot, he has his part to play, and it's important. He tells Percy to swim in Styx and he transports the statue to the other side of world. He has a purpose, unlike many Twilight characters, who just randomly appear and latter fade away and have nothing to do with the plot.
Also, Nico character shows it's okay to be different, unsure of yourself and feel down.
