Chiron is boring old dude who is only there to tell percy he's a demigod then fade into the background.
Percy is name, and just in case if you don't know, names are written with CAPITAL letters.
And have you even read the books? Chiron is mentioned in all the PJO/HOO/TOA book, in most of them more than once. He trained Percy to become a hero. He saved Percy's life in Last Olympian. And he is MYTHOLOGICALLY CORRECT centaur.
And I could name many characters from Twilight who just fade away, like most Bella's friends, of her mother.
