Perchabeth is such a obvious and boring ship! You could easily see they could get together at the beginning.
And you can't see it with Bella and Edward? Thats a total cliche. They are the most obvious romance I've ever seen, and I read a lot. Yes, Bella had a thing with Jackob, but it was clear all along that she will end up with Edward.
With Percy and Annabeth you can't tell they'll end up together. Not in first book. They could have ended up being just friends. Percy could have ended up with Rachel. He could have stayed at Ogygia with Calypso. Yes, it is a bit cliche, but the books are about war, not a love story, so it's excusable. Percy gave up immortality for Annabeth and fell into Tartarus with her, when he couldn't pull her up. What has Edward ever done for Bella? (Edward: *walks away* )
