Chapter 9- What are you doing here?

Eddie: No. I'm not going. Not going anywhere. Not until we get Loren back.

Jake: Unfortunately Eddie, you don't have a choice in this matter. We have to go back to New York. I just got a text from a really big director and he wants to talk to you about putting some of your music in his next movie. This is big for you Eddie. This is really important.

Eddie: No. Loren is really important. She is the most poets to thing in my life right now.

Jake: I know that she means a lot to you man, but you need to come back to L.A. with me. This is a big break for you if he uses your music for the soundtrack!

Eddie: Loren's more important than a "big-break"

Nora: Eddie......

Eddie: Huh?

Nora: Just go. We can handle it from here *she puts a hand on his shoulder*

Eddie: But we're so close! I can't leave now! Not after all the progress we've made! We just talked to her!

Nora: Eddie, I will keep you up to date, and i will call you if anything happens, ok? It's ok if you go. I appreciate you trying to stay here and put your career on the line, basically. But you can't do that to yourself. Loren would not want you to do that

Eddie: She's not dead! She's still alive! Don't talk about her in past tense!

Nora: Exactly my point. She's alive. Eddie, go.

Eddie didn't want to leave. They were so close to getting Loren back, and he had to leave. He knew that staying was the right thing, but he also knew that he needed to get a break from all of this. People just thought that he was dead, and now Loren's been taken. They can never catch a break, and this was probably his only one. So, he stayed there for about a minute, and then went to his room and packed up all of his things. Melissa went with him so that she could go home as well, seeing that she as only coming here for the weekend. Max offered to stay there with Nora because if Jake had to go back to the office, that meant Kelly had to as well. Then Nora would be all alone, and she shouldn't be alone in a time like this. After everyone was all ready, they said their goodbyes, said what they needed to say, and left to the private jet. They loaded all their things on the plane and got on board. It was about 3 hours into the plane ride before anybody spoke a word.

Eddie: So, you were all just ok with us leaving Loren, just like that? Without warning, or anything?

Jake: Eddie, this will be good for you. Better for you. You need a break from all of this man. You've been down in the dumps

Kelly: Maybe that's because your being really ignorant about everybody else's feelings. I don't know if you've noticed Jake, but Loren was kidnapped just a week ago, it wouldn't kill you to at least wish the her and Nora and Max some luck on finding each other.

Jake: I'm not trying to be rude, but this is really important for you Eddie. Look, I kind of get what your going through. Only it was you, we thought you were dead, and we aren't soul mates. Listen, Eddie, I wouldn't have pushed you to go if I didn't think that this would be good for you.

Eddie: No, Jake. You care about the label, and what I do for the label. To make it look good. You like money, and that's basically it. *Eddie was screaming now* You don't have any disregard for anyone else's feelings but your own! You never listen to mine or Kelly's ideas, and they're pretty good. You want what benefits you. Not anyone else.

Jake: Eddie........ c'mon man you know that's not true...

Eddie was now giving Jake the silent treatment. He knew what he had just said to Jake had hurt his feelings, but he didn't care. He wanted to be heard, not in the shadows anymore. He wanted Loren back, he wanted to know more about the person who threatened her and took her, he wanted to know too many things that it was all too much for him. He himself knew that he needed to relax, but he couldn't admit that Jake was right, he always is. Eddie needed some time to cool down before talking to anybody, so again, there was silence throughout the plane for the rest of the ride. No one said a word. When they got off the plane, there was silence in the limo as well. Eddie was still furious. Here he was, in another state, while Loren was god knows where in New York. When the limo drove to Eddies, after Eddie had gotten out of the car door with all of his things, he told the driver to not wait for him, because he wasn't going to come out of the house. As Eddie was walking into his apartment building, he neared the car drive off. It made him upset, just as much as it made him relieved. But when Eddie got up to his apartment, he had an unexpected visitor waiting for him there.

Eddie: Chloe...... What are you doing here?
