Chapter 16- Here Once Again

IN THE MORNING:

Loren woke up at exactly 5:30. She wanted to be extra ready for school. She was going to ask if Eddie would be able to pick her up from school. Without looking, she turned off her alarm and jumped out of bed. She had to find something really cute to wear so that she could impress Eddie. She found a summer dress that really flowed in the wind. She curled her hair, and went out in the kitchen and made some cereal. After she was all ready, she called Mel to see if she could pick her up and drive her to school. Of course, as the good friend Melissa always is, she said yes. When she asked why, Loren told her that she would have to wait. A couple minutes later, she heard a horn honk. It was Mel. Loren put on her sliver sandals and grabbed her backpack. Just as she was about to walk out the door, she forgot her phone. She ran to go grab it out of her room, and ran right back out. She didn't want to be late today. She got into Mel's car with such excitement that she couldn't hold back.

Loren: Eddie came over yesterday!

Melissa: What!? Really!? What happened!? What did he say!? Did anything happen!?

As Loren filled Melissa in in the whole story starting from when Loren first saw Eddie's car, Melissa couldn't help but smile with excitement. Her plan had worked. She figured she had to tell Loren, but not today. Today seemed pretty special to her.

Loren: So yeah! That's what happened!

Melissa: It's always over pastrami sandwiches with you too. Maybe I should try to find a food that makes me intimate with a man. Oo! Maybe over spaghetti. I could be like Lady and the Tramp.

Loren: I know right! I feel whenever me and him get romantically involved, there is always food around. I don't know, it just feels different. He feels different. More secure, more trusting.

Melissa: Of course he's gonna feel that way, Lo. He cheated on you.

Loren: Ya know, Im really starting to get over that whole "Eddie cheated on me" thing. It doesn't really bother me like it used to. Eddie explained the whole situation to me and it sounds pretty genuine.

Loren quickly glanced at her phone to see if anything else popped up. For the first time, she saw that name again. Unknown. That name still haunted her in her sleep.

Loren: Mel, Mel!

Melissa: Woah, Loren what!

Loren: Pull over, Pull over!

Melissa: Ok, ok, I'm pulling over! *Melissa pulled the car over* Now what?

Loren showed Melissa the text message. Melissa was so creeped out. They didn't know what to do. Without even thinking, Melissa started the car again and started driving the opposite direction of the school. Loren knew where Melissa was going. And she didn't have any problem with it. When Melissa pulled up to the place, they both got out of the car and ran right to the elevator. They took it right to the apartment. They knocked on the door as hard as they could until he answered.

Eddie: Hey guys. What's up? Everything ok? I thought you guys were supposed to be in school by now.

Loren: I'm too scared to go to school right now

Loren looked very flustered and looked very pale

Eddie: Loren, you ok? Your scaring me. A lot.
