Chapter 10- Chloe

Eddie: I said, what are you doing here Chloe!

Chloe: *Holding a glass of wine in her hand with two empty ones on the table* Oh, i'm just waiting for my husband to come home.

Eddie: And, who would that be, Chloe? Cause it's not me.

Chloe: *puts the glass down and stands up* Eddie, when are you going to realize that you deserve so much better then that little songbird. She doesn't deserve you. Plus, the age difference between you two is ridiculous.

Eddie: Chloe, when are you going to realize that Loren is the love of my life. That I will love her till my last breath. Do you not understand that?

Chloe: Oh Eddie, you said the same exact thing about me.

Eddie: I never loved you Chloe.

Chloe: Um, you proposed to me! How is that not telling someone that you love them.

Eddie: I was delusional and blind when i was with you. Fortunately, Loren opened my eyes and showed me that I could do way better than you. That I could get her. She is better then you will ever be.

Chloe: You know that's a down right lie. You loved me. I was your soulmate. I still am! You will always love me, and you know that!

Eddie: *walking closer to Chloe* You know that I will never go back to you, no matter what. I'm going to marry Loren.

Silence filled the room for at least 10 minutes.

Eddie: *sighs* Chloe, you know that I will always love you. You were my first love. I won't deny that. But I would never get back together with you. Not after everything that's happened.

Chloe: Eddie, I get it. I get that your in love with an 18 year old, but you have to face it. Love dies down. You'll come back to me. And I will always love you, no matter what. I don't love anyone else. Eddie, I can't live without you in my life.

Eddie: Chloe, I will never get together with you. I've said that a million times now. But, Your still my friend.

Chloe: Eddie, that's just the person you are. You forgive people. You let people back into your life. It's what i admire about you *she motions for him to come sit on the couch with her, which he does* I would love to be friends with you. Friends, that could maybe have a drink with each other?

Eddie: Having a drink sounds great, but I have to get back to the office to see Jake. Something about this movie director that wants to use my music in his movie.

Chloe: C'mon Eddie, just one drink? You need to cool down after everything that's happened.

Eddie: What do you mean?

Chloe: Well, with Loren getting kidnapped and all. It's all over the news. The police got a tape of the surveillance camera that was in the hallway when Loren was taken. They had it on the news.

Eddie: Wait what? They did!?

Chloe: Yeah, they had it. They had a whole segment on it.

Eddie: Did they interview anybody?

Chloe: Yeah, they interviewed her mom. But she was crying throughout the whole thing.

Eddie: They must've done it when we left.

Chloe: Max was on too, trying to comfort her.

Eddie: I should've stayed. I should've put my foot down, and demanded to stay.

Chloe: *moves closer to Eddie* Ya know, there is an easy way to take care of your guilt and everything

Eddie: Chloe, I really don't think that there is any way that you or anyone else that could possibly do anything to make me happy right now

Chloe: Oh, I beg to differ Eddie.

Eddie: You know what? Your right. There is something that will make me happy. Bring Loren back. *Eddie gets up off of the couch and goes to grab a beer* Get me her, and I'll be happy.

Chloe: *under her breath* not exactly what i had in mind. *normal voice*Eddie, she isn't the only one that can make you happy *she walks up and puts her arms around Eddie*

Eddie: *pushes Chloe off of him* What the hell are you doing? We're just friends Chloe, you yourself said that.

Chloe: I can't be around you and not want you back Eddie. She may be your soulmate, but you are my soulmate.

Eddie: Well, I'm very sorry that i can't return the favor.

Eddie walks around and sits back in the couch and turns on the tv. He tried to search for the news segment that Chloe was talking about, but it is no where to be found.

Eddie: Hey, Chloe, where is that news segment you were talking about? I can't find it on demand

Chloe: Oh, I found it online. But I think whoever posted it took it down because it was posted too early by accident.

Eddie: Oh, I'll just call Max and Nora and ask them when it's gonna be on.

Chloe: *walks over to Eddie* Eddie, they sent you here for a reason. So that you would leave them alone and let them deal with this. By themselves. You need a break *she starts rubbing her hand on Eddie's shoulder*

Eddie: I won't be able to have a break unless whoever took her is behind bars, and she is back in my arms, safe with me.

Chloe: Eddie, now, it's just getting too much. Forget about everything that's happened, and just relax. Why don't i get you another beer

This went on for about an hour. By the time an hour went by, Eddie was drunk, and Chloe was still the slightest bit sober. Eddie did relax, just like Chloe had advised him to.

Eddie: Yeah. I think i'm relaxed now.

Chloe: *laughs* yeah, i would think so

Eddie: Chloe?

Chloe: *moving closer to Eddie* yeah Eddie?

Their faces are just inches apart, and they are looking into each other's eyes. All of a sudden, Eddie leans in closer, and lays a kiss on Chloe. He couldn't stop himself. He needed to kiss her. He just had a feeling of kissing her that came over him. Chloe didn't hold back. She still loved Eddie. Knowing that Eddie was dating Loren, she still didn't pull away from this passionate kiss. Their kiss, turned into making out. Then, one thing lead to another, and some what moments later, Chloe woke up next to Eddie, in his bed.
