Chapter 7- Search Party

It's been about a week, and still no sign of Loren. The police have searched everywhere, and they still cannot find her. She keeps getting text messages from the unknown number, but they refuse to reply. They don't even want to acknowledge that there is someone so sick in the world. The paparazzi have just started to rile up again on questions of where she is, and everyone refuses to answer. Mel had to go back home because of school, but she was going to come back tonight. It was also decided that Nora and Eddie keep Loren's phone together since Loren obviously cared about them the most. The police haven't found anything yet either. They are working hard on this case though. They are determined to find her, but so is every news station around. The constant asking for interviews was actually starting to annoy Eddie, and his fans and paparazzi never really bothered him that much. Eddie finally realized what Loren had felt when she was told that Eddie died. Loren must've felt empty inside. Like there was nothing to live for anymore. Because that's exactly how Eddie felt. He felt that if they couldn't find her, there wasn't anything left for him to live for. What, his career? He didn't care. He needed his family with him, a compete one. If Loren wasn't going to be in his family, it wasn't complete. He needed her in his life, that, he was sure of. Since they had stayed in New York because of this incident, they didn't have anything else but the stuff that they packed. They knew they had to go home sooner or later, but they were too focused on Loren at this point. They were just going to have to manage with the same clothes and try to make it work for the time being. But tonight, wasn't just any ordinary night of trying to wait around for Loren to come home. Tonight, a search party was being sent out. Since the police couldn't do their job, Eddie, Nora, Max, and the rest of them were going to do theirs. Which was keeping Loren safe.

Group 1: Eddie, Max, Jake

Group 2: Melissa, Nora, Kelly

Eddie: Ok, everyone in group 1 is ready to go? Group 2 will go at ten when Mel gets here

Max: We're all ready Eddie. Are you sure you don't want the girls to go out first? You still aren't over this whole thing

Eddie: I'm fine pops. I just want to find her.

Max: Ok, if you say so

Eddie: *ignoring his father* does everyone have their flashlights?

Jake: Yep, i got mine. Just put new batteries in it. And, make sure your all wearing long things, don't wanna get cold, or ticks.

Eddie: Thanks Jake. Your almost more on top of things then i am

Jake: Isn't that how it always is? *laughs*

Eddie: Ok. We are going to look around the hotel first. That, we don't need our flashlights for. But when we get outside, we are going to look in the woods. Sometimes there's like abandoned houses out there and shacks and what not. I want to make sure every inch of this town is searched.

Jake: Wow, Eddie. You sound like a true police man

Eddie: I had to grow up under pops and my mom, of course i do. *he lets out a little laugh*

Max: Um, what's that supposed to mean? We were amazing to you! *he laughs*

Eddie: *sarcastically* No, yeah you were great....
