Chapter 41- Chloe....... Again

Eddie and Loren finally got to the police station within a few hours. They got out of the car and walked into the police station. They were met by Detective Conley as soon as they walked in

Detective Conley: *laughs* I've been expecting you guys to come in, I just didn't think that it would be that soon

Eddie: Whatever Conley. All I wanna know is where Chloe is

Detective Conley: Ya know, I found your kids mom. I thought that you would be a little more appreciative

Eddie: Conley, where is she?

Detective Conley: *sighs* In the back room. Follow me

Detective Conley led Eddie and Loren into a room. When they walked in, Chloe was staring at her phone scrolling through things.

Detective Conley: Chloe, you have visitors

Chloe looked up and saw Loren and Eddie

Chloe: Oh, well if it isn't the little songbird and her arm candy.

Eddie: Nice to see you too Chloe

Loren: Ya know, we just got back from the beach house again. We'll invite you next time, promise.

Chloe: I might take you up on that offer next time. Maybe I can steal Eddie away again like I did when you were kidnapped. Really sounds like he cares. How's my kid? Ya know, the one that Eddie had with me.

Eddie: That's enough Chloe. Speaking of "your" kid, why the hell would you just leave her at my front door? That's abandonment Chloe. It isn't right. It's beyond wrong

Chloe: Oh, right. *looks at Loren* Sorry, forgot about your screwed up past

Eddie: Chloe! Don't talk about her that way!

Detective Conley: Don't get violent or else I'll have to arrest you. And I don't wanna do that, I actually like you guys

Eddie: Conley, can you give all three of us a minute alone. Please?

Detective Conley: Of course

Conley stepped it of the room and closed the door

Eddie: Why'd you do it? Why'd you just leave her there?

Chloe: I can't handle a child! I'm still so young!

Eddie: So am I Chloe! I'm your age! We had this child together! She's just as much your responsibility as she is mine.

Chloe: Loren's father abandoned her and she turned out to be just fine. Isn't that right Loren?

Eddie: You have no right--

Loren: No, Eddie, it's ok. Let her talk. She's just mad that she doesn't even get to have a father. That she has such a sucky relationship with her mother, so you said that she was dead for all your life. Your so ashamed of your past that you can't get it through your thick skull that some people might have it worse then you and are more successful then you.

Chloe: Oh you think that's it huh? That's the solution to my problems? How about how you stole my fiancé away from me

Loren: You let him go, Chloe. When you cheated on him with Tyler.

Chloe: I bet that you can't give Eddie anything that I can. I can get him fancy gifts, I can get him a nice house, and most importantly, I can give him a family. You do know where babies come from right? I didn't want to assume anything

Loren: I know exactly where they come from Chloe. I'm just not so sure you do. I mean, you had a kid, sure. But you don't know the first thing about how to take care of her, and you abandoned her. You don't know the first thing about where babies come from. Because they come from loving mothers, they come from fathers who would do anything for them, and they would do anything it took to keep them safe. Now,Katy won't ever know who her mother is.

Chloe: You don't think that it was hard enough to give her up? To let her go? That was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. But I did it because it was the best thing for her

Loren: I'm pretty sure that's what my dad thought too. But when he left when I was 4, I always wondered where my daddy went. And it turns out, that he would never be coming back. And that hurt. And I knew my dad. Imagine how much it's gonna hurt for that little girl to not even know her mom, let alone know that she abandoned her

Chloe: Your dad may have been an ass, but I'm not. I wouldn't do that to my child. It's better if she doesn't know me

Loren: I have a lot of emotional issues because of my dad. I can't trust easily, I can't have fun like the rest of my friends, I can't do anything. Let me know how you want that to turn out for your child

Chloe: Why an I even talking to you? The only person I should be talking to is Eddie

Eddie: About our daughter. If you don't see her, or start taking some responsibility, then I want full custody of Katy.

Chloe: What? Are you kidding me?

Eddie: No. I'm not kidding. I'm 100% serious. And if you don't show up to the court date, then I will automatically get full custody of my daughter and you won't ever be allowed to see her. That's my deal. Take it or leave it. Goodbye Chloe.

Chloe: They know. They know what happened

Eddie: What are you talking about?

Chloe: They know that I..... I was the one who was....... I was the one who um... was driving the car. That, um, killed your mom

Eddie: That's not my problem Chloe. You did that to yourself. They were bound to find out. Just make sure you make it to that court date

Chloe: If I'm jail I won't be able to

Eddie: Then she's mine. I'll get full custody of Katy, and you won't have to worry about a thing. But, she is not your daughter. She is my daughter. You don't get the right to call her that. Goodbye Chloe.

Eddie and Loren walked out of the room and before they left, they told detective Conley one more thing

Eddie: Chloe did kill my mom. She was the one driving the car. I'm also going to get full custody of my daughter so she'll probably need to come to the court date or something. Maybe sign some papers

Detective Conley: Of course Mr. Duran

With those few final words, Eddie and Loren walked out.
