Chapter 15- Like Father Like Son

As the door to Max's apartment opened, Nora was shocked at the sight that she saw. It wasn't Max. It was a girl. Immediately, Nora thought the worst.

Nora: Yeah, hi. Sorry to bother you but is Max Duran around? I mean, this is his apartment after all

Girl: Oh, um yes why don't you come on in?

Nora: Gladly. *Nora steps into the front door*

Max comes out from the terrace

Max: Oh, hey Nora! *he kisses her on the cheek*

Nora: Hey Max! What's up?

Max: Oh nothin. Just interviewing a new client. Nora, meet Rachel. Rachel, this is my girlfriend Nora.

Rachel: Oh, nice to meet you Nora! I'm applying for a job downstairs as a bartender.

Max: I had her come up here so that it could be more comfortable. Downstairs, in those chairs, just didn't seem right. Plus, I wanted some fresh air *laughs*

Nora: Oh they call it an "interview" now?

Max: What are you talking about Nora? I was interviewing Rachel for a new job

Nora: Interviewing what? Her body?

Max: Ok your acting insane. *looking at Rachel* Rachel, it was nice meeting you, I'll call you in a few days to see if you qualify for the job, ok?

Rachel: Oh ok! Bye Mr. Duran. Bye Nora!

Nora: Mhm, bye bye now.

Max: Nora, what is your problem?

Nora: tWere you just sleeping with me? Huh? Did you just cheat in me wth her?

Max: Nora, no! Why would you even think that! I would never do that!

Nora: Then why was she here?!

Max: It's just like I said! I was interviewing her for a job!

Nora: Yeah. "Interviewing"

Max: Why don't you trust me anymore? You have been acting really protective of me lately and I don't know why!

Nora: Because Im scared to lose you! *Nora walks out to the terrace*

Max follows behind her.

Max: Lose me?

Nora: Yes! Lose you! That's what I'm afraid of! Ever since Eddie cheated on Loren I was afraid that you were gonna do the same!

Max: Nora.... I would never cheat on you. I wouldn't even think about it. I love you *hugs Nora* I would never

Nora: *starts to cry* Im just afraid that your gonna be like Loren's dad and just pick up and leave without saying a damn word.

Max: Nora, I would never do that. Ever! I love you, and only you. I'm not going to make stupid decisions like my son. I'm a grown man and I know right from wrong.

Nora: Are you sure? You wouldn't go off and be with some really popular, blonde haired and blue eyed mistress? *laughing as she's saying the sentence*

Max: Even if there was someone like that in this world, which, im sure there is. I would never dream of being with them. I love you, and your the only women I will ever need in my life.
