Part 5 of 5
3 months later
Y/N was walking down the same old dirt track that she always walked down. She was heading in to the village to grab some essentials from the shop. It was a warm spring day in the shire, it was quiet just the way she liked it apart from a few birds singing in the distance, the smell of fresh cut grass tickled her nose.
She hadn't her from Joe since she left Zoe's back 3months ago, but then she hadn't contacted him either. Zoe had tired to contact her a number of times but she tired to ignore her as it brought back too many memories for her. All she wanted to do was forget, numb out the pain and move on, but the constant reminders made it difficult.
Things were even more different now she was lost with out her best friend. she was alone and life kept moving on around her. It was so hard to lose the one you love as well as your best friend, to finally have to say goodbye to that part of your life and it was a large part of her life. Each day she tired to be strong and hold her head up high but some days it was impossible, And today was one of those days.
Everywhere she looked she saw the memories. It felt like she was standing on the sidelines looking in on memories that they made throughout the years. Like walking down the dirt track, the same dirt track that he once chased her down, rode there bikes down and so many more. She knew deep within her heart she had to move on and forget, the fairytale that she once knew had ended.
Grabbing the bag off of the counter she exited the shop, struggling to put her purse back in to her handbag. She heard him before she saw him.
Her heart sank in to the pit of her stomach. That laugh that she had heard over a million times, the one that never grew old. The same laugh that repeated over and over in her head the last few months. She her eyes scanned the small village around her trying to find the source of the laughter. There he was, her eyes locked on the back of his head. Her mind wasn't messing with her, it was him. She watched him talking to another old friend of theirs. He was dressed in black skinny jeans with a black red check shirt, her eyes carried on watching him. Feelings resurfaced yet again but they were different this time then any other time, there was hurt, anger and the sense of loss added to the mix.
"Excuse me" a woman said behind from behind her. Bringing her back to reality, she let the woman pass her. She stepped out made her way back home thankfully she didn't have to go in his direction. She didn't want to speak to him or see him. That was the only problem living in a small village everyone knew everyone and you was likely to bump in to someone. She had thought about moving away but she decided against it. It was her home her family was here as well as her friends. He hardly ever came back to the shire, so avoiding him when he was back in the village would be hard but it wouldn't happened that often.
She carried on her journey home down, ignoring him pretending he wasn't there.
"Y/N" he shouted in the distance.
Dread crept over her body, he had seen her. She carried on walking
"Y/N wait up" he called this time I didn't sound so far away.
"Do not turn around, do not look behind you just keep walking" she muttered to her self under her breath, her walking began to pick up speed.
She heard him running his shoes slapping against the ground he wasn't far behind her.
"Y/N stop" he said as his hands grabbed both of her arms pulling her at a halt. A rush took over her body like it always had when he touched her. She tried to pull away from his grip, but it impossible.
