"Burr it's bloody freezing" I shivered as I entered the apartment.

"So What are we going to do now" Joe groaned as he slipped his hat and scarf off.

"Well you can't help the weather bro" Byron told his friend.

"It's not like you haven't been to winter wonderland this year" I added.

"Yeah bro" The South African agreed.

Winter wonderland closed earlier than usual, due to the heavy snow that fell on London Town, much to Joe's disappointment. I thought it was exciting, I loved it when it snowed it was bright and peaceful.

"I know let's order a takeout and cozy up in front of the fire, watch some Christmas films and drinks
some beers" I suggested

"I suppose" Joe huffed

A few hours had past and the credits of the second film scrolled up on the screen, food had been consumed empty bottles of corona were scattered around, Byron had fallen asleep on the sofa a short while ago. Joe had finally gotten over his little spat about winter wonderland and embraced the snow that I could still see falling out the window behind the Christmas tree as the little lights twinkled on and off, it was heavier than before, the white blanket covered the ground, untouched and perfect.

"I'd better go" I announced as I glanced down at my phone looking at the time it was half past ten and I didn't want to get caught up in the snow.

"Its getting late"

"You're going home now? It's freezing" Joe questioned as he got up and collected a few empty bottles and took them over to the bin.

"Yeah I've got to get the tube before the weather gets to bad"

"But baby it's cold outside" Joe chuckled singing s line from the famous Tom Jones song.

"No honest I need to get going" I told him once I had finished laughing

"Be safe" he said as he let me out the door

"I will thank you for tonight" I smiled at my friend

"No problem, sorry it wasn't winter wonderland though"

"Oh shh it was better than winter wonderland" I told him

"Text me when you get home"

"Will do" I told him as I walked down the hallway and away from the apartment seconds later I heard his door close shut behind me.

I made my way out to the exit of the building, the cold air hit me and I shivered, why the hell didn't I bring a thicker coat and some gloves I tucked my hands in my pockets trying to keep warm and slowly made my way towards the tube station. The cold wind and snow blew in to my face, I pulled up my jacket trying to keep in some warmth, my feet crunched in the thick white snow, once I arrived at the tube station I was pretty sure that I couldn't feel my nose or hands or feet for that matter.

"Oh bloody hell" I muttered

The stairs to the tube station were chained up with a sign saying closed due to weather conditions

"Great" I said as I pulled my phone out

After a few rings the person on the other end answered

"You alright love" his voice echoed from the other end of the phone

"No the bloody tube is shut"

"Bloody hell i didn't realise it was that bad" he said down the line

"I'm going to have to walk" I told him to let him know that It would take me longer to get home as I knew he would worry

"You still at the tube station" he asked
