Unwanted Surprise

Perrie was finally on her way home, exhausted after a long and frustrating day at rehearsals, in fact it had been a long week of sorting, packing and moving to and throw between her and Joes, but they were finally unpacked and had started to settle together in there new Home.

They had decided to take the leap of faith and finally move in together, so it was understandable that to day of all days had been forgotten, but Perrie didn't mind all she wanted to do was take a nice long hot bath cozy up on the the sofa with Joe in her arms and Hatchi snuggled on her lap in there new home together just the 3 of them.

Finally at her front door, she turned the key in the lock. "Finally home" she sighed to herself as she slipped inside the door and closed it behind her the room was dark and silent apart the little clatter of four small paws on the wood floor as Hatchi came running towards her

"Hello baby" she bent down stroking the soft fur of her Pomerania

"Where's Joe" she asked in a baby voice as Hatchi snuggled in to her. Joe must still be out working she thought, the house was dark, quite and still, she couldn't wait to get her shoes off, to get undressed and to slip in to her pyjamas ready to cozy up for the night. Joy overcame her with the thought of a nice takeaway, her stomach grumbling at the thought of pizza.

The lights in the room flicked on, the lights so bright that her eyes had to adjust to her surroundings

"Happy Birthday" everyone shouted taking her by surprise

"What the-" she went to say as she stood there in shock, a flash of disappointment washed over her from sight that was in front of her eyes.

"Happy birthday, love" Joe said handing her a glass of champagne and giving her a small peck on the cheek

"Like I would forget or miss your birthday" he whispered

She looked at all the faces that stared before her, everyone was here, all the girls as well as all of Joes friends. As much as she loved the thought and effort that Joe had put in organising all this for her it was the last thing she wanted, she planted a grateful smile upon her face as she addressed the people that were currently staring back at her.

"That's why you all left early" she said braking the the silence addressing her fellow band mates and best friends as she brought them in to a tight Hug.

"What better way to celebrate your birthday and us moving in together than a big old knees up" Joe announced to the room, she let out a long sigh this was the last thing she wanted to do.

"Come here" Joe addressed her, grabbing hold of her hand to follow him "I want you to meet someone who is very special to me" he says as he leads the way.

"Perrie" he pauses "I would like you to meet one of my best friends, Brit this is perrie" he breams towards Brit pleased to be introducing her to his girlfriend. Brit marches over and pulls Perrie in the the biggest of hugs, like they were long lost friends.

Perrie was slight taken aback from the person that stood in front of her, she wasn't like someone she had ever met before, she was loud, crazy and totally over the top, she could understand why Joe had loved her so much, Brit was the opposite to him, her ying to his yang, a little bit of jealousy washed over her but she quickly shook it off.

"Joe has told me so much about you" Brit said with energy as she place her arm around Joe "its s so nice to finally meet you"

"Has he" she questioned

"Yep, it's so nice to see my buddy happy" she said pulling Perrie in for a 3 way hug.

"I'm going to get some drinks" Brit announced letting the two of them finally free from her hold

"So what do you think?" He questioned

"The party is lovely thank you" Perrie answered nervously, she wasn't looking forward to this and started to hope it wouldn't last all night, but she didn't have the heart to tell Joe or let him down

"No I meant Brit" he said rolling his eyes

"Yeah she seems kinda cool"

The evening took a toll on Perrie, she sat there trying  to engaged in to conversations and putting fake smile on her face, she had spent most of the night keeping one eye on the clock wondering and waiting when the party would be a over. All she wanted to do was go to bed, she was so tired that she had to stop herself a number of times from yawning in mid conversations

Few hours went past and the party was slowly wrapping up finally, with only Brit, Oli and Jack left.

Perrie placed the last empty glass in to the dishwasher as she glanced at the clock it was nearly 2am she let out a long yawn, she closed the dish washer and glanced over at the three boys and Brit they were laughing and joking, Perrie saw it as the perfect opportunity to slip upstairs and have that much needed bath that she had been longing to have since she had arrived home.

With Hatchi following her not far behind she finally managed it upstairs unnoticed, she turned on the tap as the hot water gushed out and filled the bath, lighing a few candles grabbing her pjs which she placed on the floor she slipped off her clothes and entered the hot water, letting out a sigh of relief as she laid back and relax and watched Hatchi curl up on the bathroom floor on top of her pjs.

Moments later and finally tucked up in bed with Hatchi curled up on her feet, she started to drift when she jolted up as she felt the bed dip next to her stirring her awake, Perrie turned over and notice joe had finally joined her. She could just make out him smiling at her

"Alright love" he spoke softly "did you have a nice birthday?" He asked

"Yeah joe thank you" she answered silently

"You sure" he asked her not convince of her answer

"Yeah"

"What's wrong love"

"I'm just tired Joe" she told him and paused thinking weather or not to tell him what she really thought of the party

"How Nice was Brit, she's great isn't she" he commented

"Yeah, crazy but great" she said letting out a small giggle

"You seemed distance tonight, like You wasn't enjoying yourself is something wrong love, you know you can tell me" he said turning over and brining Perrie in to his arms obviously picking up on her vibe throughout the evening

"No, it's just wasn't the night I was expecting" she said letting the words slip out of her mouth

"Oh" Joe said disappointed

"I mean the party was great and all that but it wasn't the birthday I wanted"

"What did you want love"

"I just wanted to spend it with you and Hatchi cuddled up, taking in our home the three of us together"

"I'm sorry love"

"It's ok Joe, it was lovely thank you" she said feeling slightly guilty

Joe pulled her in and kissed her on her head "don't be silly love I understand it's been a busy few weeks no need to be sorry" Perrie brushed his hair out of his face and smiled at him

"I know" Joe speaks "How about tomorrow we have your birthday all over again and do it how you want it"

"Really" she said excited

"Yes love, what ever you want to do"

"That would be great, I love you" she whispers

"I love you too, love" Joe spoke as he kissed her on her lips cuddling in to her.
