1 week after the game...

Marceline's P.O.V.

I should've done something. It's all my fault you're gone. It should've been me. Now I can't do anything. I didn't know things would...

Knock knock.

"Hey, Sweetheart...," Mom sighed, "how are you holding up?"
She stood next to my desk where I was sitting, and grasped my hand.
"What are you working on?" she asked.
"Just the speech for Jay's funeral...," I managed to say.
A tear streamed down my face. Mom wiped the tear off my face with her sweater sleeve.
"Here," Mom handed me something.
The two tickets for BTS. I was going to take Jay...she said she was obsessed with Suga...haha. I miss you so much, Jay.
"I know you were going to take Jay... But maybe you could take someone else," she suggested.
I nodded my head.
"Oh, honey, I forgot to tell you. I am supporting Jayla in court. I just want to make sure that you're okay with coming in and being a witness? AJ will be there, too. It's next week."
"Alright, Mom."
"I'm glad you're safe."
She kissed my forehead and walked out of my room. I looked at the tickets. I put them in my memory box along with the speech I was still working on. I dialed AJ's number.
"Hey...AJ."
"Oh, Marcy! How are you?"
"I miss Jay."
"Me, too."
"Can we meet up? Please. I need you."
"I'm actually at the park with Elliot right now."
"Oh it's okay I don't have to-"
"No! Please. Come. I need you, too."
"Alright, I'll be there."
I hung up. I was still in my pajamas, and I didn't want to keep AJ and Elliot waiting. Wait I'm finally meeting Elliot. Woah. Well it's a fall afternoon, so... I picked out black leggings, a dark orange crop top, an orange, white, and green flannel, and a brown leather jacket. I tied the flannel around my waist. I put on a golden arrow necklace, a few rings, and golden hoops. My hair was already in two braids, which I did last night. I quickly put on some lip gloss and ran downstairs.
"Mom! I'm going to the park with AJ!" I yelled as I put on my black converse by the door.
"Alright!" she screamed.
She jogged to me from the kitchen.
"Wow. I like your outfit today. You've changed a lot, Honey," she smirked, "are you wearing this for AJ?"
"Mom!"
My face turned red, while Mom laughed. She kissed me on the cheek.
"Alright, just be back here by 6:30 for dinner. You should invite AJ."
"Um...he has to watch his little brother."
"Oh, he has a brother? I thought he only had a sister."
"Uh...yeah. He has a brother and a sister."
"Well that's alright. Tell him, that he and his brother should eat with us. I'm making lasagna!"
"Mom, you're lasagna is delicious."
"Tell me something I don't know, Sweety."
"Well, I guess they'll be okay with eating with us."
"Yay! I get to meet Mari's little boyfriend!"
"Mom!"
"Hahaha...sorry, Sweetheart. Here, take some brownies for AJ and his brother."
"What about me? I don't get some of your 'World-Famous' double-chocolate chip, fudge covered brownies?"
"And you! Now go have fun! Well um...not too much fun. But if you are... use protection! And don't do it in front of his brother...I think that would be weird. Oh and-"
"Mom! Stop acting so open about sex... That's weird. Like seriously, I don't think any parents talk about that."
"Alright, whatever... Just go!"
I laughed and went into our garage. My mom had gotten me a bike after eighth grade, but I've never really used since I've never went out.
It was a pastel shade of aqua, and the handles were white.
I got my brown suede backpack, and put in my phone, a lock for my bike, my wallet, my keys, some brownies, and a stuffed toy for Elliot. It was a tiger wearing a blue tie. It used to belong to my brother, and I kind of wanted to keep it. But I guess I have to start letting things go. I hop on my bike, and head to the park.
It wasn't too far, probably about three minutes away from my house, if you're biking. I put my bike on the bike rack and locked it. I walked towards the swings, where Elliot and AJ were hanging out.
Elliot was just as Jay described him. Sparkling, blue eyes like Elexa. Black combover like AJ. His skin was slightly tan. He really was adorable.
"Papa, who's that?" Elliot asked.
AJ giggled, and hugged me.
"This is my friend, Marcy," he said, smiling.
"Hi, Maaaarcy," Elliot grinned.
He flashed a smile that was brighter than the sun.
"Hey, Elliot. Here, I got you something."
I handed him the stuffed animal.
"Woah! A tiger! I love it! Thank youuuu."
"No problem!"
He hugged the tiger.
"Where's my gift?" AJ joked.
"Oh, shut up," I chuckled.
"Papa!" Elliot screamed.
"Yes?" AJ asked.
"Can we go get fro-yo with my neeew tiger?" Elliot begged.
"More fro-yo?" he went through his wallet, pulling out a few bucks, "sorry, Elliot. I don't have enough money."
"Ah, man."
Elliot starts to pout.
"Um...I have some ice cream at my house. We can have dinner there, and then have some ice cream," I suggested.
"Oh, yay! Please, Papa!?!" Elliot yelled.
"Alright, then," AJ sighed, "let's go."
We all walked to my house, with Elliot in the middle of us, holding my hand. He had his tiger in the other hand, whispering to it. Adorable. We get to my house, I take out my keys, and we go in the house.
