Our son was named after y husband and he was very pleased to have a son named after him. So one day I had to go to the doctor's to get checked out and Scotty was with me. While we were waiting in the waiting room, he looked at me and asked, "Honey, are you alright? What's the matter?" "Nothing. I'm just nervous, that's all." "You're shaking, what's worng?" "Like I said, I'm nervous, that's why, I promise." When the doctor came in, I explained the whole story and Scotty held my hand tightly while I explained. He even kissed my hand and whispered, "Honey, I'm here for you. I always will. Don't worry about a thing. I'm here for you, anytime." "Aw honey, I love you. Thank you." So then it was dinnertime and I walked into the family room and saw my husband watching a ball game and knocked on the wall. He looked at me just then and asked, "Yes honey, what is it?" "Dinnertime." "Oh alright, I'm on my way up, be right there." So then he came walking upstairs and could smell dinner on the stove. He walked over to me and asked, "Is it ready? Should I call the kids for dinner yet?" "No not yet, just a few more minutes." "Alright" When dinner was on the table Scotty was out in the living room and I asked, "Can you call the kids, dinner's ready." "Sure." He went to the bottom of the steps and called, "Kids, come on, dinnertime." When they heard their father, they came running down the steps and sat down. Kimberly looked at me and asked, "What's for dinner, mom?" "it's your dad's favorite." "Fried chicken." We sat down and the kids began to cho down and Scotty looked at both of them and asked, "Kids, what do we need to do before we eat?" Then they looked at their dad and said, "Pray." "That's right." So then we folded our hands and said a prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for blessing this food that my family and I are about to share. Thank You for blessing me with a wife and two beautiful children, it's You Lord that has brought them into my life. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Then we chose some chicken to eat and we put it onto our plates and began to eat. While we ate, the phone rang and Scotty got up to answer it and he said, "I'll get it." He picked up the phone and said, "Hello, oh hi mom, no not really, just eating dinner, that's all. Okay Mom, I love you." Then he hung up the phone and came back over to the table and said, "Sorry, that was my mom." "What did she want?" "Oh nothing. She just wanted to check in, that's all." "Oh okay." So then we sat down and finished eating dinner. After dinner, the kids went upstairs to get their baths. AFter they got their baths, they got their pajamas on and got ready for bed.
