My husband decided to go into the studio to record a special song for me, his wife. He even invited me into the studio with him so that I could hear a demo of the song before it was released to radio stations. When we arrived at a studio, he said to me, "Alright honey, I have to go into the sound booth, give me a kiss. I'll be out when I'm done recording, okay?" "Okay. Can I come in with you or isn't there enough room?" "It's very small and you won't be able to fit. I'm sorry, honey. I love you." He blew me a kiss to apologize. After he recorded, he told me, "It's time for me to go on tour and I hope you can come on to the tour with me. Someday honey, someday." Before he left, he gave me a kiss and said, "I love you, honey, take care of our babies for me." "Oh I will, I know that they will miss you." "You all will be with me while I'm on tour, I promise." Just then the phone rang and Scotty got up and answered it. It was his manger. Here is their conversation:
Scotty: Hello, oh hi how are you?
Manager: Fine, Scotty, just fine. Listen I wanted to talk to you about your tour and I have some great news for you.
Scotty: What is it?
Manger: You are able to bring your family out on the tour with you this year. How do you feel about that?
Scotty: *speechless* Oh my goodness, you're welcome!
Manger: Yes I'm serious. Please tell your wife and children this very happy news. I'll see you in a while.
Scotty: Alright, thank you for this great news.
Manager: You're very welcome have a great day, Scotty!
Scotty: Thank you, thank you, you too, ma'am. Have a great day too ma'am.
After he hung up the phone and wrapped his arms about me and gave me a kiss. I looked at him and asked, "Who was that, sweetheart?" "That was my manager and guess what? I've got some great news for you!" "What is it?" "My manager gave me some great news!" "What's your great news?" "I'm able to bring you and the children out on the tour this year!" "That's great new, honey!" I gave him a hug and then a kiss on the lips and then I called the kids down to the kitchen. They came down to the kitchen and asked, "Yes mom?" "Your dad has some great news for you." "What is it, Dad?" "You and your mother are able to come on tour with me, how do you feel about that?" Kimberly jumped up and down and wrapped her arms around DAddy's leg and said, "Yay!" Jose didn't quite understand, so Scotty got down on his knees and pointed to his tour bus and explained it again. Jose looked at Daddy and started crying. Scotty looked at his son and picked him up and comforted him. He said, "Son, I'll be with you. I promise. You, your mother, and your sister will be with me. I love you so much, son!" "I love you too, Daddy." We walked out to the tour bus and walked onto the tour bus and got settled on the couch and I had brought some toys for Jose to play with while on the bus. The driver of his bus greeted us and said, "Welcome aboard." So then we got on the bus and got settled and rode to the first city. While on the bus, Jose took a nap and Kimberly played with her toys. Scotty got out Scarlett, his guitar and then gave it to me and asked, "Can you play guitar?" "Not very well, but you can teach me?" "Absolutely!" After that, we went home and got ready for bed since it was late.
