"So your girlfriend Red was killed by the fire and Matt blamed you... What did the police say?" Dr Zeino asked.

"They thought it was an accident in the end, Matt made me say she tripped and fell and that's what he said to..." Charlie replied smiling at the picture.

Charlie didn't look up form the picture. The Doctor wrote down some notes and continued.

"Why do you think he did that?" She questioned the patient.

"Don't really know to be honest...Not to get into trouble probably, I mean it's technically man slaughter or murder or something isn't it?" Charlie looked up for the first time since she was shown the picture.

"Probably man slaughter, Reds death was an accident so if Matt had admitted to killing her and you had given a witness statement then he would have been given a few years for man slaughter depending on what the judge thought was suitable." She replied treading carefully.

"Huh." Charlie laughed.

"You didn't say why you agreed to say that Red just fell?"

"Matt said something that made me not spill..." Charlie turned her attention back to the picture.

"And what was that?"

"He said at first he would kill me as well if I spilt, of course I didn't care. Then he said he would blame it on me but it was my word against his because everyone knows he hated me and my friends...Then he said his family was extremely dangerous, everyone knows that so I said so what. He told me if he went down he would give his family about my other best mates and they would be killed...so yeah!" Charlie laughed nervously.

"I understand."

"Well that's good cause no one else seemed to listen to me before,"

"Well I'm still listening."

"Good cause I ain't repeating myself again to some other psychiatrist who thinks they can 'help'."

"Charlie I'm doing my best to help you retain your memory. Now what about after the accident. How were things at school and at home?" She pressed gently.

"Home was normal I guess...my brother and sister cared more than my parents because they didn't know about me and Red's relationship."

"How about school? And your other friends?"

Charlie laughed in response.

"I'm guessing it wasn't the best then no?"

"Oh you wait until you hear this crap!" Charlie laughed harder.

"I'm listening."
